The money he wanted wasn't there from anyone. So now he has to decide whether or not to accept the qualifying offer, or to sign a cheaper than expected 3 year deal with Detroit (or another team's offer sheet). As each day passes I'd say its more and more likely that he just takes the qualifying offer.
