It's not unthinkable that he may leave.

Didn't they close that loophole that allows guys to sign a max contract at their home teams' rate only to be immediately traded? Aren't sign and trades capped at the receiving teams' max now?


Yea that’s right they did. What teams did this year isn’t the same.

Yea it’s a pipe dream with just about zero chance. We probably do minor moves. I had pretty high hopes for free agency next year, oh well.

I think the original plan was to target the 2022 free agent class but as it dried up quickly the FO pivoted and it's why we handed out the deals we did.
