Its not about Cade - the team looks bare. No one thinks Cade will be Lebron level talent.
Again - maybe - we'll see.
Bey looks improved in a few areas but forgot how to shoot 3s (or he doesnt get catch and shoot opportunities). Stewart looks better in some ways but worse in others. Doesnt seem to rebound like he did last season which was his real strong suit. Grant looks tired like he did at the end of last season. KO is just another guy.
Roster looks to have 2 guys that are part of the future (so far). Which is awful for the team's development. Bey/Grant get to dribble into triple teams because no one can shoot and defenses wait.
We'll all know more in a couple years but just seeing how talented most of the lottery picks are - having 2-3 instead of 1 might have been a better choice.
Well, first of all, we don't know if two high lottery picks were even offered for 1st overall. Yes, I would have strongly considered #2+#3,4 or 5 if it turned out that way for OKC but it didn't happen.
Second, picks 2-5 aren't exactly lighting the world on fire. Green has had an awful start to the season, Mobley has had a nice start but nothing outrageously good, Suggs has had an awful start, Barnes looks good but again, 5 games.
Third, can we try to root on Cade instead of thinking of what life would be like without him as a Piston? At least watch him play one NBA game before saying that he should have been traded. I mean, come on guys.
I get what you're saying about adding more talent but they'll have another very very high lottery pick this draft so your thirst will be quenched soon enough.
