Three things we need to do to improve the offense.

#1. Kelly O needs more touches down low. He's averaging 2.7 posts ups per game, averaging 1.19 points per possession which is probably our most efficient offensive option for any player on the team in any type of play. We need to look at certain matchups where he can go to work on his defender. Overall with the rest of our offense being so out of sync and looking so bad we should be looking to get it to Kelly in the post 4 to 5 times per game.

#2 Saddiq Bey has been decent in the pick and roll game (While Killian and Grant have been awful). Bey and Kelly Olynyk do get some overlap and when Olynyk comes in we should run some Bey and Olynyk pick and roll. Olynyk's ability to pop out gives Bey a different look in the lane that should open things up even more. Especially if he stays with the bench guys and gets Lyles, Olynyk, Jackson and CoJo. Let that lane open up for him to give him the best chance to succeed in the pick and roll.

#3 We need to get the ball and push it in transition. We've gotten so few transition attempts that no player on our team has actually had 10 possessions get to look at their advanced metrics... BUT with how much we're struggling in the half court offense and our overall youth we should be making it a focus to run down the court and try to get some easier looks before the defense is set. We also have the advantage that we don't play many player's big minutes. We run a 10 man rotation and have a lot of players that play close to 24 MPG so other teams that play stars more should in theory get a bit more tired out than us if we look to push it. Also, this is important because with our outside shots not falling (we are worst in the league at 28.9%) the defense has really been able to pack the paint a bit more and limit the ability of our guys to get open lanes to the basket for layups.

This is nice, but imo, we need Cade to play and we need the ball in his hands. Everything else is irrelevant.

Well, not really, the Saddiq Bey pick and roll is interesting, but KO will not be in the team in the long run, so I wonder if it would still be effective if we try to run it with Bey and Lyles instead.

Once Cade was playing my gut feeling says we looked more lively on the offensive end especially for easy transition buckets. This is a young team and we should be exploiting that youthful vigor to be more dynamic out there. Run and gun, etc

I feel we could really use someone of Mike D'Antoni's caliber to spice the offense up. I'm sure we'd still lose, but at least it won't be boring

We need Casey to run a balanced and movement offense instead of 4 standing at the 3 line just looking to hit 3 pointers.

I'd like to see Cade start at PG and move Kilian to the bench.

This is what the draft expert media was saying after seeing Killian play with Cade in summer league. Give Cade the ball not Killian. Killan isnt helping anyone having the ball. Cade isnt going to be ready to be a NBA point either but I'd rather see what he can do then watch Killian stink up the joint all season.

I feel like the more we have the ball in Cades hands, the more were going to see fast break and dynamic ball movement, which will lead to more winning ball.

Sticking with Killian as primary ballhandler, will lead to more stagnant, useless possesions.

Make Cade the main Point, move Killian to the 2nd unit and let Jackson or KO play with the first unit.
Just stop playing with your hands behind your backs, which is what a Killian at the Point on the first team, amounts to.

Cade is going to have the ball plenty. Not really worried about that. Killian isn't exactly ball dominant. He kicks it ahead or passes immediately after crossing half court. He's getting very little pick and roll plays and we obviously aren't isolating him.

One thing this team should learn in the future is the same thing that the Sixers had to learn with Fultz: Don't **** with a player's jumpshot before they gain some confidence in the NBA. Not one minute played lmao.
