So anywho looks like a few games to not give 2 f###'s about coming up without Cade.

“Recovery time from a hip pointer is between one to three weeks,” said Chad Smith, M.D., orthopedic surgeon with Norton Orthopedic Institute ...

You asserted that you were "railed on" for suggesting that Grant couldn't exist with Cade and needed to go, implied it was me, yet you provided no actual evidence it ever occurred. Especially given that no one in this forum I'm aware of has ever posted "Yes, the team should absolutely keep Grant, period," meaning no one--including me--feels that strongly about keeping Grant. Quite the opposite, in fact. I remember my post quite well and I don't even think it was a response to YOU, much less a "rail on."

Now, since one of our moderators loves to bust my chops at every turn for being sarcastic, sardonic, satirical, scoffing, anything resembling scornful or any other synonymous term starting with an 's' I'll state this bluntly and quite plainly--if you're going to challenge someone's assertion, putting together an actual argument goes a long way.

Despite what you might think or want it's not a requirement that the thoughts or messages that I post on this board satisfy whatever trumped up requirements you state in your replies. I stated a basketball opinion within a basketball forum. You chose to actively react / respond to it. I chose in kind; albeit apparently not satisfying whatever want you might have. Frankly, that's not my problem.

I can't believe anything that I have stated in this conversation violates anything involving the TOS. Ironically I do find it interesting that you brought up moderation though. I'm pretty sure that it's generally bad form to try and do policing on that front when you are not a mod yourself. And that definitely is a punishable offense last time I checked.

P.S. (later edit) I think I might have read your part about moderation wrong; as it could just be you are saying you are tempering your response to adhere to moderator's wishes. If that's the case just disregard my last paragraph. If my initial interpretation was somehow correct (that my pattern of responses in this discussion would somehow be frowned upon by moderators) then the last paragraph stands. I'll leave the paragraph up either way as I'm not a huge fan of deleting post content hours after the fact.

I don't have any requirements for posts. If I were in charge anyone could post any damn thing they wanted.

You posted something. I challenged it. You responded. I responded. We challenge each others' ideas/posts. Don't post stuff that's easily refuted and you won't embarrass yourself. It's not a rule; it's advice. I'm givin' ya pearls here, kid.

I'll let you in on a little secret...I used to be a moderator on this board and quit because people were taking it way too seriously.

Whether you want to call it a requirement, a want, a request, a preference, or a stipulation or something else entirely is really immaterial.

The fact of the matter is this is now the third time you've made an ask for something that I just don't believe is necessary in this instance. In fact, when I first posted that I wasn't going to do as you asked I got two And'1s from other forum members. I'm not alone in this viewpoint.

The only one who seems to be having a problem here... is you.

You can try to bait and belittle me with condescending language all you want. You can even do so under the guise of trying to give 'advice'. But the reality is you're just a singular poster here who has a compulsion to forcibly impress his opinions on all comers; always with the last word.

My only problem is an overactive urge to respond to folks responding to my posts when in reality some individuals truly do not matter. Time to work on that.

You claimed to be the victim of some sort of abuse. I challenged that claim. You failed to justify it.

The End.

Mano, enough is a enough man. You don't need to constantly talk down to every single poster in order to impress upon us all how smart you are. It's OK to simply not respond. I do it all the time.

And yes, it is a YOU problem. YOU constantly have these same interactions with multiple people across multiple boards. YOU are the common denominator no matter how you try to reframe yourself as the victim. And you know it. You brag and gloat about it and say "See this is WHY I do it" as if that makes it OK. It does not.

I have NEVER framed myself as a victim of anything. This is an internet message board, and I've clearly and explicitly stated that I'm here for fun.

Your "fun" is frequently at the expense of others. It's deliberately mean spirited and belittling. You can talk all you want about me taking it too seriously, but a little kindness goes a long way and being an internet tough guy never won anybody anything.

Nah, it's no more mean-spirited than a stand up comic's act. I think you have some warped image of who I am, like the bulk of my posts are with the intention of picking on or making fun of people and that's simply not true. And that's fine; anyone can say anything they want to me and it doesn't upset me in the least; I'm one of those people with a generally constant smile on my face, both literally and figuratively. Saying "Oh, you think you're so smart and so tough" is not the equivalent of me "forcing" my intelligence or "toughness" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean; do I ever threaten to e-beat people up or something?) on anyone. I'm very often sarcastic by nature and I'll acknowledge that every minute of every day of every week of every year. However that doesn't negate the possibility of others being overly sensitive to sarcasm, ribbing, etc. or maybe struggling with insecurities. There seem to be a whole lotta people in this forum who do not now nor have ever had any problem with me, and certainly a handful who have. But the forum DOES still have the ignore button, right? Isn't the purpose of it to "turn off" the people who for whatever reason rub you the wrong way? Maybe your hope is that it never needs to be used by getting all posters to conform to a personality/posting behavior/sense of humor paradigm that fits perfectly into a predetermined box, which apparently I don't. Certainly I'm not the first and certainly won't be the last. I'm cool with that.
