We have an open roster spot...

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Fri Feb 11, 2022 2:25 am

We have an open roster spot... Is there someone out there in the G League we should scoop up or should we wait and see if any of the playoff teams pick up a buyout and have to waive a end of bench young guy for us to pick up and give a chance?

Or perhaps the answer is just to run with what we've got for the rest of the season.

I say run with what we’ve got. Call up Pickett if anything

I don't see any reason to make a move right now. Somebody could get injured next week or a month from now and the flexibility could be useful. Probably more so than adding some rando right now. Not that either scenario makes any real difference.

I haven't even given any thought yet as to who the final roster spot should go to.

let's bring in anthony bennett, mario hezonja, or kris dunn. they are:

- highly drafted
- nobody else in the league wants them

they fit the mold.

Anthony Bennett? Cmon man. Guy can't even get minutes overseas.

I'd rather see Bagley and guys like Pickett get run before anyone we can bring in.

I'd like to see them fill that spot with rotating 10 day contracts until the buyouts spawn some potential waived targets. Stanley, Pickett, even Chris Smith should get some time. Now that he's healthy I'd like to see him up with the Pistons for a bit.

Gelo Ball. Forget the politics. He can shoot, defend, pass, and rebound.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
