The funny thing is that Valenti called the Pistons getting the #5 pick as being a worst case scenario. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not better than being 1-4 but right now it looks to me like they may in the catbird seat due to the Grant effect, i.e. they may be able to move up, move down, or just take a good player at 5.

#5, Grant, and Killian for #4 would be a massive overpay and set the franchise back, IMO.

Seeing the return for Grant, I’d definitely do that deal now.

It’s still possible.

Bucks 25 FRP and Killian for #4

Plus we get to keep the upgrades second rounders.

If Sac wants to draft Murray, maybe they’d prefer the future first instead of Grant.

Maybe Weaver wants to make sure Ivey is there before he commits assets to trade up.

Stranger things have happened.

Trading up to #4 in a three player draft would just be adding bad trade on top of bad trade, IMO.

I can see we got the usual Debbie downers, and some new ones as well.

I would take a wait and see approach before drawing any conclusions. You don't open up this much cap space for no reason.

Whereas Sharpe people might think it's a 5 player draft. :P

I think Mathurin is the best guard in the draft anyway, so I'm fairly down on trading up.
