Sure hope it’s us.

I think it is Milwaukee because Stanley Johnson doesn’t fit their player mold and Giannis said he talked to Sweeney about taking care of Thon. No talk about Stanley in Milwaukee.

Is it just a matter of not taking their physicals yet? Maybe there was some kind of issue with one of their flights to report to their new team.

Interesting. I'd bet Johnson is being rerouted or there is a money hang-up as Johnson makes $1M more.

It will suck if we like the return Milwaukee gets better - wings should be more valuable than bigs given the buyout market for bigs post-deadline should be relatively plentiful.

I don't know that Maker fits for us any better than Johnson fits for you guys.

Neither player really fits much of any player mold, honestly.

If I'm honest my thought is that it's probably a technical issue like physicals or paperwork holding it up rather than any actual renegotiation going on. Even if Stanley doesn't fit with the Bucks they are still honoring a trade request (good for player relations, makes the team look better to free agents down the road) and getting out of paying an extra year for a player they aren't using.

Something to do with a physical, or a 3rd team wants to see if it can Stanley on the cheap. Like how Philly got ennis for a 2nd round pick swap.

Looks like Stanley is part of that trade along with another Bucks player. You're not allowed to package guys in seperate trades like that (there's a grace period where a guy's not allowed to be traded again unless it's by himself), so I'm guessing that it's technically a three team trade now with us sending Stanley to New Orleans.

It changes nothing for us but adds a pretty nice fitting piece to the Bucks. Good on them I guess.

Nailed it. Stanley a part of a 3 team trade for Bucks to get Mirotic.

I’m guessing both Bucks and Pistons are trading 2nd round picks to Pelicans in this deal.

Why should we trade picks?

Pistons better not be sending out any 2nd's to New Orleans if their only return is Thon Maker.

Pellies get four SRP's from Milwaukee? We should get one of those given we take on Maker's $3.6M next season and Johnson is basically an expiring contract in this deal.

There are multiple second rounders in the trade. We really don't have many second rounders outside of this years' and the one we just got from the Lakers.

There's no way they'd be willing to include a second rounder here. They're probably from Milwaukee. Or at least they better be.
