I don't see the Kings trading Jimmer for Bynum, they want a real PG I think to start so they can have Thomas come off the bench again, I would like to add him though. I want nothing to do with Harris, he can't play the 3 or the 4, Afflalo of course I would like.

that's entirely realistic and would be awesome. that'd definitely improve us and give us an opportunity to figure out monroe/smith in the offseason. maybe monroe to boston for their two 1st rounders?

Really? As like a 10mpg guy or what? I wouldn't mind having him but I've seen too many guys with his type of ability disappear out of the league in the blink of an eye. If they are giving him away sure but I wouldn't give up anything for him of value.

Denver has no reason at all to make that deal.

Please, Monroe+Bynum+Jerebko x Green+Bass, we would be the best team in the open court.

Who is the best player likely available in a salary dump for expiring? Eric Gordon?
Weaver = Hinkie

Gordon is definately available, but I could see Jeff Green, Marcus Thorton, Josh Smith (heh) and maybe Afflalo (doubtful).

Afflalo is available, but the Magic want a first round pick for him, which teams aren't quick to give up.
Gordon is a nice perimeter player, but I don't think he plays anywhere near the level of his contract. Thorton shouldn't be viewed as anything more than an expiring deal- I'd rather have Stuckey. Jeff Green....meh.

Re: The Trade Thread
I think the best trade for this team right now is Monroe+Jerebko+Bynum x Green+Bass or Monroe+Villanueva x Green+Bass
Monroe is better player than Smith, better player, but I think he's not better PF for this team (amazing game yesterday, but playing at C many minutes), he's always the last in transition, he's so slow, and he's an average defender (pretty good at the post defense), but Smith, who is dumber, is a better perimeter defender against athletic PFs, and there are more athletic PFs than they've got a great post game. He's less eficient on the offense, but better on the defense, and that's this team needs.
On the other hand, Green never played well with Rondo, Rondo plays so much better in a milk clock system than running the court. Green and Smith both are very good getting to the rim in transition, and we've got Drummond who is the faster center on the league. Monroe with Rondo could play all star level no doubt, and I wish him all the best.

Re: The Trade Thread
Seems like Afflalo, Green, Chandler or even Barnes could be available. I'd prefer to skip on Turner. Since Gores wants to make the playoffs, it seems like we'd make a push. Expirings not as valuable now compared to previous CBA, so Stucky and CVs expirings not going to bring back too much. I doubt we actually pull anything off.

Harsher tax penalties bro, what do you mean expirings aren't as valuable?

Re: The Trade Thread
I don't think CV will be on our team after the deadline. No way we make a playoff push with $7M in dead contract at the end of our bench - especially when our depth is the drizzling ****. Also "trading for expiring" is also code for tanking as well - teams can say they made the trade for off-season cap flexibility and sell their fanbase on being free agency players when they're really just tanking for a better pick.
At worst I think we end up with Gary Neal from the Bucks.
I still think whoever acquired CV will waive him and Charlie will end up on the Miami Heat bench.

Teams can't hand out the same sort of mega-deals that they used to hand out, so there are fewer bad contracts and they aren't as desperate to lose them as they used to be. Plus, a ton of teams have expirings and cap space to sell, so the value had dropped.

I wouldn't be surprised if we do a minor deal that involved KCP+CV.

I want Afflalo, Hes exactly what we need. I would probably be willing to trade KCP for him in some sort of package.

Maybe CV, Bynum and KCP for Afflalo, Nelson and Tobias

Yeah I was just saying Afflalo probably isn't available for a salary dump.
