3 Team Trade: DET/DEN/SAC
Detroit trades: Josh Smith, Jonas Jerebko
Detroit receives: Danilo Gallinari, Jason Thompson, Darrel Arthur
Why for Detroit? Its obvious to everyone but SVG that Smith is a bad fit. In this trade, SVG swallows his pride- gets the Kings on the phone and moves Smith. SVG saves face by buying low on Gallo, who when healthy is a very good shooting F. We become- Jennings/KCP/Gallo/Monroe/Drummond
Sacramento trades: Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson
Sacramento receives: Josh Smith
Why for the Kings? The Kings upgrade at PF without giving up anything of value. Smith is a horrible fit on this Detroit team but I doubt he’d be nearly as bad on the Kings where he couldn’t chuck up 15 attempts a game because of sharing a frontcourt with Gay/Cousins. Kings become- Collison/Mclemore/Gay/Smith/Cousins
Denver trades: Danilo Gallinari
Denver receives: Derrick Williams, Jonas Jerebko
This is pretty much a salary dump for the Nuggets who realize that they aren’t good enough to compete out west and start clearing out payroll. Getting Gallo’s 12 million off the books means that the Nuggets will have some capspace to use in the offseason to make improvements to the team. The Nuggets are a center away from being decent and with Gallo coming off the books they should be able to find a solid C to put around Lawson/Afflalo/Chandler/Faried

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Gallo? How many years are on his current contract?
The guy hasn't been good since his knee injury. He seems to have never fully recovered from it.
I'd take a pass on it if the contract is big.

This is Gallos first season back from his ACL tear, he expires in 2016, a year before Smith does. I think Gallo can return to form.

Why would NO do this? Why would we want to move another future first after what happened last year?
We could send the draft pick to NO instead, but the pels are gonna need depth on the wings once they move on from Gordon who's already out again, and Henderson would be a very good fit playing off of Evans and holiday. Anderson isn't an all star, people are drastically overrating him because of how good a fit he would be here. And if we could land two perfect fits for our roster like ryno and MKG while dumping smith, then I'd absolutely give up a future 1st, just not next year's pick.

JT is the kings best low post defender and only other rotation player with size. This is going to impact their decision to make this kind of move, along with tying up so much cap space for a guy playing horribly.

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Gerald Henderson would be an awful fit next to Evans and Holiday... he cant shoot. Isnt Evans a slasher, and Holiday can get to the hoop ... they got Asik who has to be around the hoop and Davis. They need a shooting wing and an increase in production out of the bench from PG/SG. Ryan Anderson gives that team so many possibilities it's not even funny. It makes absolutely no sense for them to move him, especially for Henderson and a project big man like Zeller... they want to win. They need bench help. This makes their bench worse.. by a lot.
Now for CHA, no way they move MKG, he's a young, ELITE defensive player, who has apparently improved his offense a bit. You don't move him for Josh Smith/pick. If they want Josh Smith, they can get him for Williams+Henderson, if they want us to attach a shooter, we should be willing to add Singler and then take back a minimum contract like Maxiel. They need shooters and we don't really have them, but I fully believe that Josh Smith is an upgrade for them at power forward. After that, maybe they make another move to land a shooting wing.
After December 15th someone is going to take Smith and it's going to work out. If either Sacramento or Charlotte get him, I can see them working him in just fine. The reason for this is the already established roles and mental makeup of the players on the teams.
Sacramento, Cousins and Gay are the guys who demand the ball to score. Smith would probably be the 3rd or 4th guy on that list depending on how Collison is doing. This means that he can focus on his rebounding, passing, and collecting steals/blocks. Charlotte, Jefferson and Kemba are the guys. Same thing, Smith would be like the 3rd or 4th and that's right where he should be... like he was back in Atlanta when they had Johnson/Horford. We're going going to have to live with getting something like DWilliams/Thompson or Henderson/Williams back, which may result in us getting out of Smith's contract like a year early. That's good enough. Honestly, it's not going to make us better or anything, but it will result in Drummond, Monroe, and KCP getting more shots which will help their development. I hope SVG just pulls this trigger and we can continue our tank job.

OKC.
Monroe and Butler=$10 million
Friggin Perkins and PJ3=$10million
Or just Monroe for Adams and PJ
Maybe they'd be nice and toss in our Michigan boy McGrary and their 1st in either deal too

We need this guy some how.. 16 minutes a game and remarkably efficient. He will always be behind Wiggins. Get Shabazz now and have a REAL SF.

OK....this deal may need some fine-tuning salary wise, but this is the basic meat of the deal:
TO NEW ORLEANS: C Greg Monroe (Monroe agrees to be traded to NO and goes back to his hometown)
TO CHARLOTTE: PF Ryan Anderson (Davis is a star, and they no longer need Anderson)
TO DETROIT: MKG and Vonleh (we trade an established guy like Monroe for upside and better overall fits)

Why not? They supposedly still want to make a playoff push....
Walker / Roberts
Stephenson / Neal
Henderson / Williams / Hairston
Anderson / Zeller
Jefferson / Biyombo

Youre on the right track in the fact that Anderson is exactly what they need. They desperately need shooting and he brings that but I just think MKG and Vonleh hold more value then that. They are both on rookie scales and MKG is already a elite defensive player and while im not very high on Vonleh he was still a top 10 pick and just a rookie. Maybe something more like Vonleh and Henderson going out would work better.

How about GSW? Barnes for Monroe straight up?

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
I think realistically we should shoot for Jennings and Monroe to OKC for Reggie Jackson and Perk.
We take one of the league's worst big men off their hands and they get pieces for Reggie Jackson who is going to get a FAT contract offer as a RFA. After the Harden trade, we know OKC doesn't like to shell out too much money. They replace him with a volume scorer off the bench and a starting big who can score and rebound.
As for our side, we can try to sell Moose on playoffs and maybe a championship this season with 2 of the top 10 players in the league. Could we lose Reggie Jackson after, sure, but we have to do something.

That team is doing NOTHING that involves their core. With David Lee coming back they don't need Moose. If anyone goes it's Iggy because they'll need the money to sign Draymond Green
