Those 2 are not out best players so you don't cater to them

We will still make the playoffs I think, we have a stretch of about 6-7 games in a row coming up that are all easily winnable

there's nothing to build around, this is the problem.
we have some good players on nice contracts, some young players with reasonable talent, period.
we would have looked better if we blew out everything at the deadline and tanked.

Let's assume we dealt RJ for DJ & Green then dealt Dre for JV & their first...
You think we'd tank and land a top 5 pick?
IMO that would have pushed us to the 6th seed or better!
Said it for most of the season - we have 2 halves of a very good team but those halves are not compatible
One half thrives on ball & player movement, the other on standing around watching 2 guys PnR teams...
NBA defenses are far too advanced to play PnR without snipers on the perimeter...and that's why we get bogged down.
More motion is the answer we're looking for with 4 willing passers around Dre.
RJ needs to go, not because he is injured or because he doesn't have talent - he needs to go because his style of play doesn't suit our top guys (Tobias & KCP) anymore

SVG's project was to build around heavy p'n'r' between RJ and Drummond. Todd's wet dream too![]()
after two years we can easily say that SVG was wrong and must change the whole project. his contract expires after his fifth season. is there room for him to change the rout and be successful?

Yes because by moving 1 guy the whole system changes and actually would accentuate KCP & Tobias' skills offensively

Horrible coaching decision to put our most efficient offensive player on the bench in favor of Jon "been struggling" Leuer. Tobias has been playing really well even with his defensive struggles. He has more than earned his starting position back.

Tobias has been playing injured and we were not even sure he was going to suit up against the Jazz thus coach had probably limited his minutes.
