No point in giving up even a second round pick then. Next?

Watch Bol Bol just get waived now to make room for Cousins as backup C.

Wonder what this means for McGruder's position on our team.

Nothing disclosed yet I take it? Wonder what they found, since Denver didn't seem to mind playing him.

Saves us all the 'why isn't he playing?' posts and threads.

He's either got a major issue or the team had no plans for him in the first place.

Next.

McGruder position on this team is end of the bench vet who will praise Casey and work hard. I guess he does that - great way to make a few million dollars.

He averaged 6 minutes in 53 games across 3 years. I don’t know if that constitutes "didn't seem to mind playing him".

It could have just as easily been that they knew he was brittle. Or it could be that Denver didn't think enough of him to give him more than 6 minutes per. Either way, I agree that we may see him on the waiver wire soon enough.

Team doctors are notoriously not standardized so I guess Bol didn't pass their standards whereas Denver doesn't bat an eye

Well, my post about the McGruder era ending was a farce. Do...we have to get him back?

Pistons lead the league in voiding contracts for questionable big men. I don't even remember that guy's name anymore - never made it in the NBA after Pistons voided the contract. I think he was from Houston? A few years back now.

Too bad though. I mean no other player on the bench would have peaked my curiosity about watching play for ten minutes a night.

Welcome back super duper 15th player McGruder!

Donatas Montaj…something. We basically ruined any value he had left in the nba

Watch the nuggets cut bol to sign cousins, then the Pistons cut McGruder to sign Bol. And this whole mess just be because of a largely useless 2nd from Brooklyn.

It’d be insane to read the responses.

I was just happy to see McGruder removed and the team take a chance on someone. Oh well

Well, the caveat there is that there have been 5 voided trades and 3 involved the Pistons. Likely their team doctor(s) standards are more stringent than others.

In any case, meh. It was nothing that was going to move the needle much anyway.

I wonder if the Pistons looks to acquire Marvin Bagley from the Kings now not sure what they'd want for him.

Yep. But the Rockets voided that deal. We were set to receive Robert Horry & Matt Bullard. I was bummed when it didn't go through.

Elliot went back to the Spurs and played seven more seasons. Something seemed odd about that to me at the time. I remember thinking Elliot may have sabotaged the trade but can't recall why.

Yup, we likely missed Elliot's issues in the Rodman/Elliot trade.
