Sources tell the Free Press that Drummond requested a contract extension in the offseason and that remains a possibility. But what's the number both sides can agree on?

First time I've seen that. I would be okay with extending Drummond for a similar contract around 25ish mil per year. If he's looking for more than I would trade him. Extending him would probably be the best way to get the best deal. If he goes into free agency as one of the top players in a weak free agent class he is going to get maxed by someone.

If he would just play smarter and more efficient to his strengths then screw it seeing as hes still young.

Im not very high on him right now though so hopefully he matures a bit on the court and plays like the second half of last season.

I was thinking if Grizz cant move Iggy and hes just not gonna play for them then maybe they would swap him for Jackson.

Rose/Brown
Snell/Kennard
Iggy/Sekou
Blake/Keiff
Drummond/Baynes

I like that defense and perimeter help much better. Then maybe a Thon for Baynes swap if Suns suck again and would rather gamble on Thon who is younger.

Maybe toss in a 2nd somewhere if needed

Defense looks better but Jackson is a far superior player at this point in his career. I think Jackson is going to have a great year for us.

I would like to trade for him now honestly but not sure we have what the Celtics want. I could see the Celtics struggling this year and then moving him for picks. I think the Celtics are significantly worse this year and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if we are better. A Kennard/Brown/Doumbouya/Drummond rebuild would be pretty cool imo.

I expect a chronic injury flare-up and an early career end for Jackson.

I _want_ him to have a good year so he can be traded.

I wonder if Keith Langlois is tired of writing these optimistic fluff pieces right before the preseason starts.

It's been the same song and dance for a decade now.

Would be sweet to reunite the twins. According to Kieff it Sounds like Marcus loved Detroit and was mad he got dealt.
Once hes eligible, Would Snell+Thon be enough to get it done. Probably not lol. Hmmmm tough to do cause hes on an expiring $15mil deal.

I've this same thought for a little while now. I would love to do a trade like that if we can.

I was trying to think of a logical trade for Marcus myself.

The Knicks want flexibility and I don’t think they’d take Snells extra year.

This free agent class is super weak so I wouldn't be shocked if they were okay taking Snell's deal to preserve flexibility for the following offseason. We would probably have to add incentive though.
