Just read that the pistons like Evan Turner and May be willing to give up a 1st rounder. Thoughts?

Reports are the cavs are willing to part with Deng. Our chance to unload smith for a favorable trade.

GET IT DONE!!

Ugh. No.

Turner s not an efficient player. He is getting career numbers because Philly sucks so bad this year. He is a free agent and will get someone to overpay for him this summer. Bad use of a 1st rounder.

Pelicans wanna trade Rivers, and one of Gordon and Evans. I would love if we could trade Smith for Gordon straight up. We need a legit starting SG, and he fits the bill. It'd help even out our roster, he'd only have 2 years on his contract, seems like it'd be a good trade if we can't find any better ones.

Monroe is still a problem next to Drummond so we need a stretch 4. But since gores has handcuffed joe there won't be any major trades and now we are stuck with letting stuckey walk for nothing and probably resigning Monroe to a max contract. A future disaster

Just watch. We're going to end up getting either Evan Turner(which I would piss me off) or one of those guards from the Pelicans. Book it

I like trading for Turner, but not at the expense of 1st rounder.

Evan Turner still has loads of potential and isn't a blackhole on offense.

If we get Turner without trading Monroe or Smith we could never afford to sign all 3 of them in the off season. Why give up a first rounder for a guy we cant afford to keep.

Natopher wrote:Isaiah Thomas is available. I'd love to trade for him. IDK if he's a longterm solution, but he's better than Jennings offensively, and can't be worse than him defensively. Depending on what it would take to get him from SAC, I think he'd be a good investment. I don't think Sacramento sees him as part of their future plans so it's possible he could be had for cheap (maybe by taking back a not so good contract or 2).

Maybe Villanueva and Datome for Thomas and Landry? Or Villanueva, Datome and Stuckey for Thomas, Landry and Thorton? I think those are fair trades.

He's actually pretty horrid defensively. I watched them play the Rockets a few weeks back, and all the analysts cited his total lack of defensive play as one of the major reasons the Kings haven't been able to find any traction this year. He's fast, and can pile up points, but he gives them right back on the other end.

He's awful on defense, but just like Jennings, and more efficient on offense.

Why would the Kings move Thornton for Evans and Terry?

What is the motivation behind that deal?

They have Landry (6.5M over 4 years)

I wouldnt mind moving Jennings for Landry + Thomas

Gives us a solid back up big and we get a redo on Jennings, we dont have to resign Thomas and can go after Lowry

Chris Broussard on sportscenter just said a Harrison Barnes for Greg Monroe deal makes sense and would be intriguing...thereby confirming nothing even close to that will happen.

Goodwill article saying multiple executives confirming "It's dead over there. They've been dead silent for weeks." Confirming Dumars is handcuffed and were gonna ride it out. Furthermore, some executives think Monroe's agent already has a new team with max money lined up for Monroe...

Chris Mannix of SI says don't expect a lot of big names to be traded, but lists the Pistons as a team to watch though, with "lots of teams calling about Monroe", but Pistons asking price right now is "really high". He goes on to say "Gores spent a lot of money on this team and wants to win right now. There's a decent chance someone big on that roster gets moved before the 3pm tomorrow."

You can watch the video here at the bottom of the page -
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nba/ne ... z2tmrDi4oU

He also mentions in the article that the Pistons are interested in Turner and Gores may be willing to use draft picks to acquire him.

If there really is a lot of teams calling about Monroe, it makes sense for them to set their asking price high. Make those teams outbid each other and then wait until the final minutes to take the best offer.
