We need to be on the phone everyday with Sacramento. They seem to be willing to make changes - we need to catch them on the day that they think they want Smith and Jennings :-)

Man, they're having an absolute PR nightmare with the Malone firing and Ranadive's "4 on 5 defense" nonsense. Imagine if they bring in Smith among the turmoil, it'd be hilarious.

Rondo on the block again could be good for us - not because he's coming here but Sacto might want to make their big move of Rondo/Smith as was rumored in the off-season.

Lin is a PnR maestro (and still young) and would thrive lobbing to Dre all day. I'd do it, and Jennings gets to go home to his Cali.

Yup but down side is he got no handles and is a turnover machine.

What do you guys think about this deal? Who says no?

To Detroit: Anderson, Landry, Reggie Evans, Moreland
Why? Dump Smith/Monroe for Anderson/Landry

To Boston: Derrick Williams, Ramon Sessions, Nick Stauskus
Why? Get a top 10 pick for Rondo

To Sacramento: Rondo and Josh Smith
Why? Vivek is delusional, let him keep living the playoff fantasy with Rondo-Mclemore-Gay-Smith-Cousins

To New Orleans: Greg Monroe, Ray McCallum
Why? Save 3M by dumping Anderson a year early.

Pelicans can be completely cut out with McCallum coming to Detroit instead and the deal would still work fine.

Boston wont be able to get anything close to a top ten pick for Rondo.

Latest rumor from Marc Stein had the Mavs sending Wright, Jameer Nelson / Harris, and a 1st rounder for Rondo

Kings can also send McCallum to Boston and their 2015 1st round pick if necessary.

Top ten pick in 2014, 12-20 range pick in 2015, Ray McCallum for Rondo. Who can top that offer?

Rondo is a great fit in Dallas - but they don't have the pieces necessary to get him via trade IMO unless Rondo plays hardball with Boston to get there.

Rondo in Boston would also eliminate Dallas as a landing spot for Monroe.

Trade idea:

Anderson, Withey for Monroe, JJ

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ncgbevr

Jennings / DJ / Spencer
KCP / Meeks
J smith / Singler / Butler
Anderson / J smith / martin
Andre / Noel / Withey

The more I think about it, the more I like it for Boston. However, SAC can't do their pick this year and maybe not next year. Depends on how they finish. I think they owe it to Chicago.

I'm starting to come to the realization that overall, we're the team with the worst future AND least to offer. The sixers are trying to be bad and have top picks all over the place. Our supposed 2nd best player, moose, can't land us squat.

Monroe leaves in the summer and we get nothing for him. Jennings and Smih will ride out their contracts and as our "hopeful" top picks and FA signings happen over the years, the two are fazed out to the end of the bench.

If anyone sees another scenario playing out I'd love to hear it.
