It's almost like we arent even in the league lol

Damn. No upper end talent. No youth with all star upside (kennard? Sekou is still two years from two years). Offensive is slow and predictable.

Makes perfect sense. Pistons added a bunch of accessory talent that a team on the brink of a championship does.

The Pistons are in the stands watching a bunch of teams cozy up to the brink.

This is why I was hoping for either a fire sale for picks, and super young talent, or a real bold substantive move. Bupkis.

Really disappointed and the only chance this team has to really do something special this season comes down to;

One of our younger players to take a gigantic leap all of a sudden(kennard, rookie)or the front office pulls it's head from between it's cheeks and trys to make a huge bold trade.

My expectations are low that either happens and I think everyone else in the league believes that as well. Hell, this team did get a touch better by adding some bench players but they didn't even pick the team to make the playoffs again.

I'm waiting for the season to be over already

Galloway/Thomas to NOP for Darius Miller.

Miller is likely out for the season with a ruptured achilles, but Detroit's motivation to do this is twofold. 1) Gets them down to the roster limit of 15 players. 2) They take in like $1.7 mil less than sending out, so it gets them under the luxury tax. Miller also has a fully un-guaranteed contract for next season, so he's essentially an expiring.

Pelicans might do it, simply to get cheap look at a young prospect. Galloway is an expiring that they could flip later on.

I think this is a waste of Galloway's expiring. I think we can just give Thomas away if that is what we want. Galloway's expiring will most likely be huge for any in-season trades that we want to pursue.

With Miller's contract being un-guaranteed next season, there is essentially no difference in his and Galloway's contract as it pertains to trading purposes/value.

Also in order to give Thomas away, Detroit needs to find a team with an open roster spot + cap space or a TPE to absorb him into + actually want him. I don't think there are a lot of those options out there right now.

Man, if we didn't have Blake, I would love to get PF/C Domantas Sabonis as a nice young rebuild piece somehow. He's so solid

But for Buddy, that's a great price, plus with those incentives that helps both teams. I thought he was going to get something like 4/110 million which would be a stretch.

Is Will Barton a fit in Detroit? Is he enough of an upgrade over Tony Snell to give up any incentive to swap them?

I don’t think so. He making more than Snell and he has an extra 2 seasons on his deal.

I don't think so, I don't like Snell, but he is a better fit and on a smaller deal.

Detroit could use Barton instead of Reggie and Galloway tho. We would be able to start Kennard and Snell and bring Brown and Barton off the bench.

Drummond / Wood
Blake / Kieff
Snell / Barton
Kennard / Brown
Rose / Frazier

Barton has 3 more seasons on his deal. I don't wanna commit to that kinda contract length for a dude like him

Given Wood's contract situation how do we go about a extension or retaining him after this season?

I know i will earn a lot of critism but

Drummond for draymond in december
Galloway/maker(pick) for joe ingles (if utah react cause of his lately poor play

Free Agency fred vanvleet (I know toronto would love to trade lowry but that doesnt mean he will stay in toronto) 4 years for +/- 70 Mio
(Jackson..smith...salarys running out..perhaps trade Morris for a 2nd rounder)like snell butnext offseason he is expiring ..to resign Wood we must let him go

Biyombo or a.len for Center

Draft: xavier tillman (late1st round or 2nd round)

Green/len (biyombo)
Griffin/Wood/Tillman
Ingles/Doumbouya
Kennard/Brown/Thomas
VanVleet/Rose/3rd stringPG

That would be a nice roster
