Yeah, could be. My feeling is likely not. I don’t think Luke ever carried that kind of value.

Yeah its unlikely but just throwing it out there bored

Fair enough. Hard not to get excitement envy with all the trades going on. All we know is a deal was discussed involving a first, and that it fell apart due to protections.

We don’t at all know what protections they were ready to offer or what we wanted or expected to get. I’d be surprised if an unprotected pick was ever on the table. That would be a coup.

They also gave up a 2022 pick in the trade. This could impact their willingness to deal another pick.

But hey, draft is in two days. Holding out hope we do something good. No idea what I even want them to do.

Read Bulls have Williams on their radar at #4.

Rumors are going crazy right now. I love it.

I like Killian Hayes too. Reminds me of Harden a bit, not just because he’s a lefty either, he plays similar. He will be hard to guard in the NBA. The obvious connection with Sekou would be nice too. I don’t like Haliburton, looks like a future role player to me. I think Hayes and Lewis Jr have star potential.

I like Patrick Williams, but I want a point guard in this draft. Isiah, Chauncey.. we need a leader for this team.

AYYEE long time no see Han wassup. Hayes is my fav in this draft too want him but I do question his physical tools at the next level.

I’ve always been lurking. Haha. I still read this forum weekly. Hopefully this off-season goes well for us.

Yeah, his rumored range now is 4-7. So the Pistons are now on the low end. Crazy indeed.

If he did, it would probably be to Chicago or Atlanta. I think Cleveland is going to take either Avdija or Obi.

One more day, boys.

My money's on Haliburton if he's there. If he's gone, don't know. Can't tell if all this Williams madness is just smoke. I know Hayes would make the board happy.

Haliburton is the safe pick. He's going to be an NBA starter in this league for a long time but he doesn't have the star upside that some other people have. I'd be happy with him but I also wouldn't be opposed to taking one of the guys with a higher upside.

I have no clue how this will play out. We could trade up, we could trade down, we could stay put and draft any feasible player. It will be interesting for sure. I do know, no matter what Weaver does tomorrow night, the majority of fans will hate it. LMAO

It certainly feels like Weaver is going to put his stamp on this franchise over the next week.

Brown trade just seemed like something that wasn't needed at all, so it feels like he is going to make sure he is coming into this season with his roster and not leftovers from a previous regime.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it was targeted to open up playing time for a draft pick or maybe it was for a player Weaver really coveted but overall it just seems like a move to change things up and it felt very random from the outside looking in.

Part of me is starting to think zero of our FA's will be back.

A few more players currently under contract will be traded away.

We'll start next season with only 4 or 5 guys that were on the team last season.

My only surprise is that so many of the people calling for a rebuild are upset when the old players get moved. If more than one of the guys on the current roster is around when we return to a championship level, it would be shocking.

Is Killian Hayes double step-back jumper a walk. Will he be allowed to get away with that in the NBA.

I think the issue is more the return and separating the trade from potential other moves. To me this move is just like Bullock to the Lakers.

Another problem is the pistons have a long history of basically meh sideways type moves.

Seems like too much herding with the predictions. We'll see. But there seems to be a lot of "consensus" for such a wide open top of the draft.

The Pistons really need a PG besides Hayes, Haliburton would be a nice fit as well. Good size, good vision, with solid upside. Has some flash.

If the Pistons don't pick a floor general, the season is going to be long, amd dreary.
