Essentialy you believe Rip has more trade value than I believe Prince has. The Cavs got 2 late 1sts for LBJ but you think Rip has more value and is worth a lottery pick.

No offense but those that do agree with some of your ideas are fans that are more wishing than analysing. bstien, da-met and parrots posts read more like the kid going through the Sears catalouge not actualy shopping at Sears.

We can all wish we could parlay Will Bynum for Derek Rose and although 100% of Pistons fans like the trade that doesnt make it reasonable or realistic.

Instead of offering the 11 pick I would offer the right to switch picks in 12 and 13.

While I agree that some of these requests are asking for far far too much, I also think you are being far too negative. You had been adamant for some time now that moving Rip for an EC would require surrendering Monroe and/or a first. Well, right now that does not appear to be the case.

Per PistonPowered.com

Ken Berger of CBS Sports:

With the Hamilton component essentially agreed to, according to one of the executives involved

And the Pistons might get a first rounder for taking Johan Petro, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

Detroit wants to take Petro with Murphy, but only sweetened with a first-round pick, source says.

Please don't let this fall through Joe!

Cleveland and Toronto had 0 leverage, it was take it or suck it up. Detroit have the upper hand in the deal. They don't need to take any thrash back for Rip.

I would force a Rip for Murphy and a 1st if i was Joe.

Terrico can jump but aside from that he hasnt shown all too much. True he is injured but even in VSL he looked average. Id easily fork over White if it means we get to dump Rip

I don't think we can force this that much. From the sounds of it, Joe is fighting to get a first round pick by offering to also take on Petro's contract.

An expiring (Murphy) and a first is way more than anyone in their right mind would pay for Rip alone.

Either way, I think I would push for Murphy, Petro, and the 1st if I could. If we didn't get Petro we'd just pay some other equally-unskilled big man similar money to be an emergency big for the next few years.

I'd definitely take Petro if a 1st is also headed to Detroit.

I'm not hung on Terrico at all. Dude is uber athletic and has a decent shot. But I'm thinking he has Gerald Green written on him. If he stays all the better, but if he goes its whatever for me.

Given the momentum of this deal I do not think that adding White would possibly be a deal breaker. I would hate to give up anything potentially good for our future uselessly. Give them Bynum!

I think we could use White pretty soon actually. We basically have no back up PG aside from McGrady or Gordon alternating to that spot. McGrady seems to have no future (most likely) here due to his contract, so we are going to need someone and I am hoping it isn't Bynum.

Denver hosts Nawlins in bout an hour. Will be interesting to see who does/doesn't suit up for Denver. If the suspects in question don't suit up, we know the deal is done.

I hope both of those things are true. I could easily see that being rumor mongering though.

The Nets are nearing an agreement on a three-team trade that would net them Carmelo Anthony, sources tell Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Apparently, Anthony has said that he's "on board" with signing an extension in New Jersey as long as the Nets land Richard Hamilton. Talks between the Nets and Pistons revolving around a Rip for Troy Murphy swap are ongoing as we speak. Other parts of the deal would include Chauncey Billups becoming a Net (although a buyout is possible) and Devin Harris retaining value in Denver. For now, we'd make sure Murphy, Jordan Farmar, Hamilton and Al Harrington are all owned in your league. Jan. 9 - 8:02 pm et

The latest round of rumor tweets going around don't include the Pistons getting any draft picks. Just straight up Rip for Murphy and Petro. People are starting to note that someone will have to be cut if this is the actual deal. No one is sure whether it will be Terrico or DaJuan.
