Simple trade idea with Washington

TO PISTONS:
SF Ariza
PF/C Vesely

DET needs more help on the wings, shooting in particular. Ariza provides that. Vesely is nothing more than a salary-filler.

Jennings / Billups / Siva
KCP / Stuckey
Smith / Ariza / Singler
Monroe / Smith / Jerebko / Mitchell
Drummond / Monroe / Harrellson / Vesely

TO WIZARDS:
PF Villanueva
PG Bynum

WASH has two specific needs; backup PG and a stretch-4. In fact, Wall and Beal have both publicly urged the Wizards to acquire a stretch-4 on multiple occasions. CV would thrive in WASH as instant offense off their bench. Plus Bynum would finally give them a decent backup PG behind Wall.

Wall / Bynum
Beal / Porter / Rice Jr.
Webster / Porter / SIngleton
Nene / CV / Booker
Gortat / Nene / Seraphin

I like this trade.

At this point, all Joe needs to do is find legit players who can contribute off the bench ...by using some of these expiring contracts of useless players. Some teams may just be looking for salary relief. So, there may be some good trades to make.

The team seems to be figuring out the way to play together. "Bully ball" -- as some one called it the other day -- is the way to go for this team. I see big potential if they can stay focused and be unselfish the rest of the way

Let's see how far this team can go and make critical decisions at the end of the season.

Trevor Ariza is putting up the best numbers that he has ever put up (so far), the Wizards wouldn't move him for this pair.

Suns said they're willing to give up picks for stars...

I mean let's say they take Stuck for a first, he's not in our future plans might as well take advantage

why would they give up a first rounder for a inconsistent player who's expiring and not restricted. also stuckey isn't a star. We could take on some contracts for the first rounder, but its tough to see how we can get any first rounders without giving up significant pieces in a season we are trying to win

Okay maybe this specific one is flawed, but it's something to think about developing further even if we try to win now

I am all for acquiring a first rounder, but not at the detriment to this team winning, if the contract attached is a productive overpayed player, maybe , but very few options if any at that point

Charlie V for Channing Frye and Washington's first? lots of contract cleared for them, opens them up for total domination with 3 other firsts and like 20 million in cap space assuming they pay Bledsoe

So young has asked for a trade seemingly killing his trade value.

Charlie V, Jonas, Singler for Thad and Jrich.

Yeah they would send a 1st rd pick.... They own the Pacers 1st so you can get the 30th pick.

Love for this to happen. You would end up with 2 legit scorers off the bench for an expiring contract + 2 role players. Something that Joe definitely needs to explore.

76ers may be able to get more than just those players in return, though.

That's a good deal but I think Philly can do better

I don't think Young demanding the trade hurts his trade value unless he was going to sit out and wait for it - I think he was trying to force the trade to Houston to happen as it was seemingly close. He wouldn't be happy here in a bench role - he wanted to start beside Howard and with Harden to puff up his value.

I wouldn't want Young or JRich's contracts, not a good deal imo.

Also have Washington and their own which right now are somewhere between 15 and 25, and Minny's which very well could end up in that area too.

If Phoenix is delusional and thinks they can contend, then they would be willing to do this

You would imagine Thad Young would be a picture perfect fit as the starting 4 in that Rockets line-up.

Terrible for the Suns. Frye is playing great and is worth every penny of his contract.
