So if Weaver sees Livers as a key piece of the future, I'd say that almost certainly means we're trading away at least one of the vets.

Cade
Duren
Stewart
Ivey
Bey
Hayes
Livers
Those 7 draft picks, plus Bagley(won't be out of the rotation at $13+ million per year), our 2023 lottery pick, $55+ million in cap space, and MAYBE Diallo? Knox obviously will be an out of rotation 11th or 12th guy type of player.

No room for sure really for Bojan or Burks next year if we're keeping those guys and plan to have them be in the rotation.... Really probably no room for Diallo either.

Cade / Hayes
Ivey / Livers
$$$ FA / Bey
Stew / #3

Ya to be honest I don't know much about him. When I hear "great defender" I get overly excited due to my sad recollection of our/my golden years of being a diehard piston fan
I just want a bunch of guys that will scratch claw and fight every night why cant this happen lol

Love this. If we get Wemby, use our cash to get best SF out there. Kuzma is only guy available that's good and if we don't get Wemby, Porzingis is only guy available who's good. Hmmmm let's make a trade with Washington

You don’t want Kuzma. Very inefficient and poor decision maker. Thinks he’s capable of more than he actually is. Most fans want him traded.

If I were to trade with Washington - it would be for Deni Avdija. Development curve similar to Killian where he needs confidence in his shot/offense. He has everything else. Awesome defensively.

I’ve said before that Zinger would be my dream free agent. Perfect fit and has been largely heathy this season. Playing his best now at PF next to a traditional center.

DIALLO really does have a place, since LIVERS would be more like a "wild card" in the 2-3-4, but it has to be with the energy of these last games.

I'd like for Weaver to go try and get Johnathon Kuminga. We're missing that young athletic forward with uber potential. I'd be willing to part with basically any of our vets like Bojan or Burks as part of the deal. Maybe even Bey as he's looking more like a bench player long-term.

If you're going to include BOGDANOVIC and BEY in a pack, it would have to be for ANDREW WIGGINS.

That would be amazing but doubtful. Wiggins was without a doubt their 2nd best player last year en route to the title .

They're not using Wiseman and Moody and barely using Kuminga . There's gotta be a deal to be had using Bojan Burks Noel CoJo

Duren Wiseman
Stew Kuminga Bagels
Bey Livers
Ivey Moody Diallo
Cade Hayes

Looks so nice

Still tons of cap space
And our lottery pick

I actually think if we didn't have Bagley making $13+ million per year... a Wiseman/Kuminga for Bojan trade could make a lot of sense... That said, Wiseman also is making $12+ million next year and is an expensive 3rd string center.... He's still a bit worse than Bagley but he also still has more upside potential to be a better player in the long run. Wiseman is tough for GS because he still isn't a guy that plays winning basketball and when you're trying to win a championship its hard to put him out and develop a player like that.

Wiseman going to one of the tanking teams for a player to win now seems really likely.

Man I'm hoping this is a big trade deadline for the Pistons. Things gotta start changing around the team.

There's gotta be a desperate team out there with as much parity that exists this year. Has to be.

I’m not terribly concerned at the moment. The kids are developing while a lot of treadmill team like the Bulls fight it out for the opportunity to get sent home in the first round.

Just close your eyes and envision Wemby and a healthy Cade starting the season opener.

Next year is the season to take seriously considering the cap space and options to maneuver.

What could Diallo get? As a UFA I think he's leaving in the off-season as he's under MLE range so can pick his spot and FBR's don't matter. Probably a SRP at most, so might be better as part of a bigger trade package.

Bojan+Burks(or Diallo) plus a handful of 2nds for John Collins. :D
Saves them on their cap going forward

Lots of interesting chat on Sirius NBA radio today.
Talking about Kuzma and the possibility of us and a few other teams maxing him out this summer.
Unrelated to Kuzma, talked about Bojan specifically how he could be that piece to put a team over the top.

I personally like him, and would bring him back on a 3-5 million/year salary. For someone with an absolute ass outside shot, he still comes in like a wrecking ball and scores, rebounds, and hustles at an incredibly efficient rate. I like him in that weird Bruce brown power guard spot, where he essentially plays the 4-5 on defense and we just turn him loose.

I've been hearing hes gonna get a max as well. If we give him the bag thats a straight Joe D signing.
