I like this trade.

Edit: I am not sure if Barnes developed anymore this season. If he hasn't, I might just keep Monroe. Smith's gotta go either way, though.

How we can bring here Ryan Anderson, who is a 20ppp player, for Bogut and Singler? Are the Pelicans dumber than Smith and Jennings together???

Honest question: Is Ryan Anderson more valuable than a healthy Andrew Bogut?

Is a healthy Greg Oden or Bynum the most valuable player in the NBA?
Since his injury Bogut lose the touch at the rim and his offensive game, so don't talk about something that doesn't exist.

Greg Oden? Andrew Bynum?
Pretty sure Bogut played more games than those 2 combined. So, I don't think your hyperbole works here.

Bogut's been fine this season and Anderson played just 22 games this season. You might want to update your info and trade criteria, buddy. Ryan Anderson is not some unbelievable talent.

Jennings to NY for Schump, Felton, Prig (filler)

Schump is still an asset and Felton's contract is a lot smaller than Jennings'. We might be able to reinvent him as a backup point (he really wasn't that bad at one time) or use the stretch provision if need be?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Would never wish to see that fat boy play for the Pistons.

Pistons won't do it because that leaves us without a starting caliber 1. Felton is chubby and he's a downgrade compared to Jennings, Prigioni is terrible, and Shumpert is average. I'll pass man.

Aren't we convinced Jennings isn't the guy? If that's the case he's a bigger negative contract than Felton. Let's also not forget Schump has value at a position of need. Prig makes next to nothing.

I like it because we can use our pick on a PG at #8 and he can come in and be the starter... Or split all the time with Felton.

I'd do that trade in a heartbeat, then buy out Felton.

Houston doesn't want Smith, Jones is pretty damn good.

What is this obsession with Shumpert?

i could honestly see houston taking on smith if they could unload asik and lin, but i highly doubt they'd want jennings too. beverely's a better fit next to harden since he can actually play defense. a ball dominant chucker is probably not who they need running their offense.

josh smith, kyle singler to the suns for channing frye and the 17th pick.
i've been saying this for the past 3 or 4 months, but i really think smith could be a good fit on the suns.

I'd do that in a heartbeat. Even considering Eric Gordon is damaged goods and will likely come off the bench to sustain his career.

Id rather us grab two overpriced bench players to fill out our 2nd unit than get Gordon who has been nothing but an injured chucker for the past 3 years.

He is just going in for knee surgery per wire tap...his career is done. Pelicans really messed up badly when they matched his deal.

I agree. Gordon, even when "healthy" this last season is just a jump shooter. His great slashing ability that earned him that contract is gone. He will never play up to his pay grade.

On to Smith; I'm with you, SF. I'd move him for two marginally useful players off the bench. I'd trade him for any expiring contract. As long as we don't surrender any future first round picks, I'm all for it.
