From that article - "Van Gundy, however, deserves credit for turning Zion Williamson into their point guard."

I read that and started laughing. Like what!?! :)

Hmm... how about we take a guy known to be ball dominant with at least some handle and give him the ball more. Genius.

Jimmy Butler is looking washed this series. Heard he's like +/- of -68 against the Bucks so far. Which is hilarious

But so far the playoffs have been super competitive minus that one. Bucks look as great as advertised with Tucker and Jrue playing elite defense. The Sixers look just as frightening as well, I honestly think it's their year. We'd kill for a chance to obtain someone as great as Embiid to be on this team

All in all, really solid games so far as a neutral fan

Brooklyn losing Jeff Green will make getting out of the Eastern conference much less likely. A real glue guy for that team.

As long as Brooklyn flames out, I don’t really care who wins the title, but I’d prefer it wasn’t the Lakers again.

Bucks - Nets will be insane. And I'm getting a feeling about the Clips. (My feelings are usually quite wrong).
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Ainge is out in Boston...Stevens to the FO is the interesting part.

Didn't see him leaving the sidelines.

I wonder what Mike Zarren thinks of that, considering he's been in Boston forever and is obviously viewed as a top level executive around the league

It seems like he was burned out from coaching and they wanted to keep Brad with the organization. It doesn’t seem like the best move though.

Zarrem will probably say nice things if asked and stick around for a year, but I’m thinking he’s with a new team in 22-23.

I’m guessing he’s at least annoyed, passed over for his dream gig. Also considering he should have been the next person for the job.

So Lebron gets a free pass from the league for violating covid protocols. Then he walks off the court with 5+ minutes remaining the other night.

Its not hard to see why a lot of people dislike Lebron so much.

Hopefully Phoenix sends the Lakers to an early offseason tonight.

By all accounts, Zarren is a Celtic through and through. He's gotten plenty of offers in the past but all turned them down since he really wants to win one chip while he's with them. It's his lifelong dream. I heard on the BS podcast that he still wears his green jacket and sits under the rafters for every home game with his dad. That's complete loyalty.

But if they asked him to stay and gave him a decent bonus, I think he gladly stays. Stevens needs Zarren's cap and finance expertise. He knows he's wanted elsewhere but not in a rush

Wasn't Zarren with them for the KG title?

I'm super surprised on Stevens leaving coaching. I thought for sure he would be like a Jerry Sloan type 20+ years with one team coach. He's one of the better XOs coaches in the game for sure. It will be interesting to see who Brad picks to replace himself.

Can't find any sources that he was anything major when he first started out and they won. All I got was that he was a unpaid intern at first and slowly worked his way up. I think he wants to win one as an assistant GM where he clearly has had impact?

Who knows

Maybe I'm just a sap, but I LOVE this.

It's easy to be turned off by how entitled and ego-centric some athletes can be. I could easily find a half-dozen such quotes or instances in just the past 24-48 hrs, without having to look especially hard. It's nice to see people having a broader view and appreciating others humanity. We need more of this. A lot of class being shown. A lot of respect.

LOL at Drummond coming to Lakers to be the savior and not even playing their last game while Davis is hurt. This guy is a clown and must have lost millions by not even be able to adjust to a title favorite.

When the Lakers signed Andre I knew immediately that his presence would somehow curse the team, leaving them worse off for having him. Good luck to the next team that deludes itself into thinking his potential will somehow be unleashed at the next stop.

The DNP on an elimination game speaks volumes. It's going to be tough seeing him get anything more than the the MLE.

A winning culture and being surrounded by true stars did jack for Drummond. Which proves he's never really been a good player overall. He's just a rebounding role player that was given ample opportunities here and CLE. Like a bigger Reggie Evans and someone here mentioned that 5 years ago and they ended up being right

Looks like even LeBron has limits on reclamation projects.

It was entertaining going to other boards to see how much Drummond was going to prove he was so much an asset and Detroit just didn’t utilize him right.

It’s crazy to think Montrez and him would have been better off going to Charlotte as opposed to joining Lebron and the Lakers.
