We win this game with any top 1-6 player off any team in the nba instead of DR

We were a pretty mediocre shooting team last year with 12.8 made 3s. Tonight was 7. That’s not even in the realm of what you need to win in the nba in 2025.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ron Holland take that starting role ASAP if he doesn't bring more to the table in the next game.

Robinson & Picks for Kuminga please.

Kuminga is under a QO, so his bird rights would not transfer. There is absolutely no incentive to trade assets for him if we can only offer him exceptions in the offseason.

Harris had Cade wide open and his look was terrible, so that's unfortunate. But I think both were thinking take the three before they can foul, and I can't really fault that logic. I'd want Pistons to foul the Bulls in that scenario if the roles were reversed.

Hs bird rights don’t transfer, but we could still offer 10% over his current deal, so it wouldn’t be a mle type signing. However, he’s about the last guy in the nba we should be interested in. We need high volume, decent percentage 3 point shooters around Cade and ausar

That's how it works now. It was like that last year too. When the first started doing replay they couldn't add a foul in but its changed to now allow foul calls to be added to a challenge.

Ah so you're telling me the Pistons lost in the playoffs because we used our challenge on a meaningless play early (and lost) and couldn't challenge the foul on THJ? Awesome, lol.

No that's not what he's telling you and that's not even close to what happened. You can't challenge a foul/non-foul that wasn't called. This was a challenge of an out of bounds call and they are able to review every element of the play, which you can see Cade fouled him. That playoff game was just a flat out missed called that wasn't whistled.

Not to mention you have 2 Kuminga types already. Not sure why you'd trade what's supposed to be your sniper for a 3rd serving of Kuminga.

Snakebites wrote:Really felt the loss of last years vets in this one. We were missing another ball handler and proper outside shooting.

Beasley and Schroder. Heck, even THJ would have been useful tonight. We’re in for some ugly games if this is actually what the outside shooting looks like.

And yeah tonight makes you grateful we’re only committed to DR for one season, doesn’t it?

i think a lot of people underestimated the impact THJ had on the team last season. he's a professional shooter and even if he's not on the level of steph curry, he has a quick trigger on any catch and shoot situation and at a 37% clip teams definitely respect it and it impacts how they defend.

we started last season 0-4 and 10-15 so it's not they're not capable, it'll just take some time for robinson to feel comfortable playing in the beasley role and to work in some sets that actually utilize his movement shooting ability. even as the game wore on levert started handling the ball more instead of ausar because while it's great for his developmental reps him as an on-ball is still painful to watch in a competitive setting.

it's a long season, there's definitely things to clean up but yeah we only put up 24 3's and hit 29% of them. last season the nuggets put up a league-low 31.9 3s and the magic shot a league-low (by far) 31.8% from 3. working through the roles, sets, etc. is going to be a reality for the beginning of the season.

Kuminga 6'7. Same height as Ausar! We need a legitimate 4 and another ball handler. Cade doesn't have great stamina and the constant ball handling effects his shot. Late last season and late in playoffs, he WASN'T a factor. Most say it was due to his first time in the play-offs

Why wait until halftime? Could have used your spirit in the second quarter.

Good fight to get back in this game! And good game from Cade, Stew and Holland. We win this one if Ivey was out there.

What the hell are our FAs we signed this summer doing???????

I'm don't get the hate for Ausar's offense on this page. We know he isn't a 3pt shooter, but his midrange game looked solid today and he made a good handful of team plays and passes which aren't turning up on the box score, but are the right play. He had a few possessions where he beat his man off the dribble and attacked the rim. Outside of a confident and consistent 3pt shooter, what else do people here want for him?

I know it's the first game of the season but this felt like a trap game. The Bulls finished last season 17-10 with Giddey playing at a high level and I think are going to outperform expectations this season (their betting over/under is around 32-34 wins which I think they'll easily exceed). They pushed the pace in the first half and we struggled to keep up. We did well to claw back from a 23 point deficit to tie it up but should have never been in that position in the first place.

Our defensive intensity was lacking up until the 4Q which needs to change. Robinson was poor but hopefully just a bad game and he soon finds his rhythm.

Positives were Stew, Holland and Ausar. Cade was hit and miss.

Onwards and upwards. No easy games yet though, next will be a tough test against the Rockets.

I fell asleep after the first half. Nice to see they at least made a comeback.

Duren will have to prove way more if he doesn't want to be traded at deadline. Defense was non existant as always.
Robinson and LeVert were very disappointing. Cade wasn't at his best tonight.
Stew, Ron and Ausar were the only positives of this game and have for sure Pistons DNA. We want that kind of attitude on every player of this team.

As bad as we played the comeback was there, we’re going to have some tough losses early I think. But really Duncan just hits 2-3 shots in this game we might have pulled it off, he’s only had one real bad season let’s hope this isn’t his second. Ron’s looking like the second best player already, I think it will be a near lock by season end. He’s the intensity that Cade needs in a Robin IMO.

I wish Cade had a post game. I'm watching him struggle during the game and he doesn't have a bread and butter move to go to yet we're playing this cat all this $$$. No one should have to tell him to incorporate a post game or go to move. These modern players are limited and lazy. It's sickening to watch. In the past when greats struggled they went to there go-to move i.e. kareem sky-hook or Joe D/Chauncey posting up.

If Ron can add these elements to his game, he could ultimately become the teams best player imo. I see a young Paul Pierce. Ron has more heart too. He hates to lose
