It literally doesn't make an ounce of sense, period. I almost forgot the NBA was a consumable good for a sec.
The suspension was because it's his 4th flagrant foul point. You could argue that it wasn't a flagrant foul, but the suspension certainly wasnt for no reason. It's part of the rules:Under league rules, any player who accumulates four flagrant foul points over the course of the playoffs will be automatically suspended for one game, and every additional flagrant foul will result in either a one-game suspension (for a Flagrant Foul 1) or a two-game suspension (for a Flagrant Foul 2).
"The cumulative points system is designed to deter flagrant fouls in our game" said VanDeWeghe. "While Draymond Green's actions in Game 4 do not merit a suspension as a standalone act, the number of flagrant points he has earned triggers a suspension for Game 5."
http://www.nba.com/2016/news/06/12/golden-state-warriors-draymond-green-nba-finals-game-5-suspension/
That's what I'm arguing. The flagrant was highly unwarranted and random in comparison to not giving Dray during that Steven's kick.
Ah word. Yeah that makes sense. I've seen some people acting like they league just decided to suspend him on top of a flagrant foul.

I hate both teams as they have a bunch of whiners. But if I had to cheer for one, I guess it would be the Cavs since they haven't won a championship.

I can't stand the Warriors actually. LeBron and Gilbert suck too. I have always been a Kevin Love fan. I think he's the scapegoat like Bosh was in Miami. I want Cleveland to win.

Love is more than a scapegoat... he's legit sucked at times, which has hurt their team. Did you see his Game 5 line? Barely showed up at all, Kyrie and LeBron carried them.

Re: Around the League
The Love in Minny that people thought was just an empty stat stat padder is much better than the Kevin Love we're watching in this series though. Right now he looks like he's got the athleticism of a 40 year old man.

Re: Around the League
Love is a victim of their system and of the new NBA.
Stretch big? Yeah! But he can't defend the PnR AND he can't defend the rim.
In the right system he'd be an absolute beast offensively, operating out of the high post...
NY would probably be the best spot for him:
Ce: Dingus
PF: Love
SF: ?
SG: AA
PG: Linsanity
Cavs:
PG: Irving
SG: JR
SF: Melo
PF: Lebron
Ce: Thompson
Both teams fit better IMO

Eh, that Cavs team still can't/won't defend the rim. Better to trade Love for a defensive center and bring TT off the bench, which is where he belongs.

I'm the furthest thing from a Kevin Love fan and his numbers have been disturbing this series but if he's not drawing his man out of the paint LeBron and Irving can't get to the paint. I know we over use the term but if I'm Cleveland I'm trading Love for a couple 3-D guys, one preferably being a big man.

Yeah but which team is giving up quality rim protection for Love?
Maybe NY includes Lopez?
Maybe Brooklyn sends BroLo to Cleveland for Love?
Who knows what Cleveland will do? They could stand pat or just attempt minor moves

Clippers might since Doc hasn't been a good GM at all. PJax probably won't unless they're getting another star in return that could make them playoff caliber.

Pretty ignorant comment.
All that being said, you're probably right. Would be cool to see that super team happen though

Re: Around the League
I think the Cavs would be pretty silly to trade Kyrie. He's putting up an insane 28ppg against a team that just won 73 games in the regular season and he's 24 while CP3 is 31. CP3 is better but he's not getting younger and some would argue his ball dominance would clash with LeBron.
Cleveland's got their top 2 players and a bevy of solid role players. What they need is to acquire a better 3rd option.

Lebron mentioned something like he would love to play with Paul and Melo someday. Thus, if they lose tonight, I bet it is considered. I can see the headlines now, "Aging Superstars band together for one last shot at a Ship!"

You don't need a third option. Look OKC, look GSW. Yeah, Draymond is an incredible player, but he's not a 3rd star, at least with the old definition of star.
Put with Bron and Irving a guy like Marcus Morris and a Biyombo type of player, and they'll improve a lot.

I'd say Ibaka is capable of being a 3rd option, just wasn't a very good one this particular post season.
When I say "3rd option" though I'm not necessarily referring to scoring exclusively, but someone who can provide offense in general. Whether that be through scoring or enabling someone else to score, and with the 15ppg and 6apg Draymond scores I'd definitely say he's a very good 3rd option. Heck the Marcus Morris we saw in the playoffs would definitely be a better 3rd option than Love has been, while still retaining the ability to stretch the floor that Love gives them.

Re: Around the League
Iam a bigger fan than most I think when it comes to Morris.I believe in time he could become a shred lite,he has that same swagger and attitude that made sheed great. If he works at his craft,he could be one hell of a player.I also believe this season will be very telling, will he continue to build on last season, will he plate,o R will be regress.MrBigShot wrote:In SVG We Trust wrote:MrBigShot wrote:I think the Cavs would be pretty silly to trade Kyrie. Side note
Iam still rooting for the warriors, they might be somewhat full of themselves but they have earned that right. They have also built that team from the ground up from the draft and savy fa signings,t hey have a great FO and structure in place.
When it comes to Cleveland they basically are trying to buy their first championship, arent the greatest organization.I also hate the way LeBron feels entitled to a championship,as to where gsw built theirs the right way.
