no, he's really slow on that end but he's powerful and much more skilled offensively than drummond. not as good of a rebounder as drummond tho.

Actually I'd trade #1 overall (Okafor) and Josh Smith for a first rounder a couple spots back and then draft Towns - we'd have $36M under the cap if we could move Smith to a team with enough cap space to take him on without giving up any players to us. Use that money to be very aggressive in FA and overpay to get RFA's like Butler/Dragic.

Also the #1 overall pick would probably have more return trade value than Drummond, and we could be selling low on a 22 yr old center who's brain just seems fried right now.

Philly is the only team with cap space. Lets not forget that the draft is before the new cap begins. You cant salary dump Smith until weeks after the draft.

I would draft Mudiay and still trade Drummond. Andre's value will never be higher IMO, we can try to trade him now for a legit wing or we can hold onto him and let him get exposed as the Deandre Jordan esque player that he is.

Keep Drummond and draft Okafor. Build correctly around the 2 bigs and suck again next year, landing our perimeter scorer and having a mound of cap space.

We also have the cap space to add wings this summer and some good options there.

Id rather just keep Andre IMO.

I get it, Drummond's been here long enough to become a villain, but I'd like to show a bit more patience. His stats might not show it but hes getting better.

Towns fits a lot better as he has more stretch potential than towns who lives in the low post

Yeah I think Drummond would be worth at worst a 5th overall pick

Towns is starting to get some Demarcus Cousins comparisons by some scouts now. But hes also a shot blocker, The kids got some potential and even knocked down a 3 pointer last night. He could end up being the #1 pick.

He's definitely having a nice season thus far. He's moved up to #3 on DX's big board- and if the current trends continue, will easily take over the #1 spot if Okafor continues to be "just okay".

I'd wire brush my balls and hit 'em with pepper spray to get rid of Drummond and grab Okafor.

I'm leaving my testicles out of this conversation.

I think Okafor knows how to play basketball better than Drummond but Drummond is a better physical specimen, probably the most intriguing in the entire league. But it is hard to answer this question this early. If Drummond flatlines the rest of the year? Probably Okafor. If Drummond starts to "get it" and play like a monster? Then keep him, and dangle that #1 pick and get something crazy for it.

I'd dangle #1 to trade down a little IF we got another prospect that had legit potential.

The consensus is we have very little outside of Drummond, KCP & maybe Dinwiddie...so turning 1 pick into 2 prospects isn't the worst idea

Okafor reminds me a bit of Al Jefferson. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Okafor is an inch taller without shoes, and has three more inches to his wingspan, so he's more of a natural centre in terms of size than Big Al.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I'm trying to figure out why having that type of player at centre is a bad thing.
