You guys are easily my favorite team in the East right now.

DocRI wrote:"The Pistons Streak has transformed our board" ... does that make us all... TRANSFORMERS???

Transformers were "Robots in Disguise;" were the Pistons "A Good Basketball Team in Disguise?"

Are our noble mods the Autobots? Is Cow Optimus Prime? Are our lovable contrarian cynics the Decepticons? Does that make Neptune, Josh Smith's lone remaining supporter, a Go-Bot?

(Why yes, I did grow up in the 80's! How did you guess?) :D

Let's not forget that Transformers 4 was filmed in... Where you ask? That's right, it was in Detroit!!!

This could not have come at a better time after the Cowboys-screw job last weekend. So excited for this team. Just a couple weeks ago I posted how the future looked so bleak for this team and a couple days later Josh Smith was waived and we haven't lost since :D

It's not just this board. It's everywhere. I've remained a diehard through the trying times and thought I was the one of the few left here in Grand Rapids. But I just had a living room full of friends who were all actually eagar to watch the Pistons for first time in half a decade, and we delivered in almost the perfect way. I'm so proud of this team that it's really hard for me to even articulate. It all seemed so bleak even just a couple weeks ago, and now the future looks brighter than ever.

I will admit that I had started to watch games less towards the end of November/beginning of December but now i'm all in baby.

I love watching good basketball and that's what we're playing right now.

Yeah, all these johnny come lately bandwagoners have made reading a game thread a chore. "What did SVG say?" "What did SVG say?" "What did SVG say?" "What did SVG say!?"

So nice to enjoy rooting for the Pistons. I'm not sure anyone even mentioned our draft pick in the game thread tonight.

We shouldn't be turning around any bandwagoners. Yeah, there is a special connection for those that have been us through the losses. But, how long have we waited to be relevant? That alone is a special treat for those of us who watched through the DNP-CV years.

Can't believe I've been here on and off for nearly 13 years. That's almost half my life. :o

This season feels... SPECIAL.

Agree. Seems a lot happier these days, hadn't seen that since the Championship years.

The idea of a fresh start (7-0) does wonders as well. I can't remember a time when any team 11 games below .500 got this much universal love, and more to the point, deserved it. :D

I entered the real working world around the time of the AI trade and signed up for league pass when I started getting real pay checks (out of state fan). This year I finally had enough and cancelled my subscription. Clearly these awful years have all been on me. Keep it up guys, with a baby on the way my funds are frozen, the game threads and the occasional game vs the Cavs or Bulls on WGN are the only ways I can really keep up.

Love the board traffic, not liking the negative people who've run from the board in bad times but not want to come back and preach doom and gloom and "reality". Let's enjoy this run and see where it goes!

Congratulations guys. I'm so happy to see the Pistons playing well again. They were my favourite team growing up in the Bad Boys era. I now root for the Raps (finally have something to cheer about) but am looking forward to our two teams playing relevant games against each other going forward.

You guys have some beastly players and a great coach - so hopefully you can sustain your success.

Deeeeeetroiiiit Bassssskkkkkeettbbaallll!
