you traded a guy that was leaving for a good shooter that's a rookie and a second Rd pick..these are the types of moves they should continue to be making.

I think we get a little more cap room because of this. This could be a precursor to another trade and helps us stay under the luxury tax.

Is he a good shooter? I'll admit I don't know anything about the guy.

I'd also like to see when the second rounder converts, and also lament that we're in a financial situation such that we had no shot at keeping Reggie. Given those circumstances I don't have a problem with the move in and of itself, though.

Agreed. That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the salaries head to head. Svi makes just over $1M less than Bullock.

I can see us potentially using the 2nd from this trade and the extra $1M space to facilitate the Conley trade.

Bullock was the one I would have kept if possible of our expiring. I was always up for trade ish and sj first.

I like that we are actually doing something. Even if it is small incremental trades. And we didn't give up our FRP :-)

Okay, I’ll be “this guy” — Lakers don’t have a 2nd rounder this year, so it’s gotta be a future pick. Did we just acquire an extra sweetener to push a Conley deal over the top? If, as many have already posted, we decided / knew we weren’t paying Bullock this off-season, it’s pretty shrewd to get a look at a cheap shooter in Svi and acquire a pick to make the Conley deal happen. It’s essentially like playing poker with free money.

2021-23 2nd rounder could be very valuable. Whenever the commish changes the rule so highschoolers can go pro.

That tidbit about the Lakers is good to know.

It's also worth noting that we've got some gaps in our second rounder holdings that this trade helps mitigate some.

But yeah, no effing way this has any impact on a larger move. That's not a needle moving asset in a trade.

everytime I watch him hes active and hitting shots with a good feel for the game. obviously if he was lights out they wouldn't have traded him but it's hard to find minutes and a flow if you're a rookie and have all of those vets ahead of you.

when I watch him hes not afraid to shoot unlike Luke can be but he also isn't a reckless gunslinger like Galloway. he was a 4 yr senior at Kansas and I'm partial to those kind of NBA ready players.

the pistons were not getting anything major for a guy that could leave in a few months. the 2nd rounder is minor icing on the cake as well.

it's a very good deal.
