No surprise that I find this deal laughable for us. Cojo is a bad player on a bad contract. The Lakers 2nd has 0 value, the Sacramento 2nd is a distant one and we donated better 2nds than that for nothing. What a nightmare. I expect more terrible deals to happen for us this deadline.

BTW now we lost wood for Stewart, a bad contract in Cojo, the lakers 2nd and a distant 2nd............

This is a win, not because a weak 2nd this year and a future second from Sacto is a good haul, but because we open up some space, give more time to the young guards (hopefully), and suck more. Delon was good, man. Too good right now.

Cojo is basically an expiring.

Help the tank, save money next year, get a few picks for future transactions. Not mind blowing, but I'm good with it.

Gotta hand it to Vege. He’s consistent.

He is an unplayable bad player, and is owed 2.4 mil next season, which means more dead cap next season, that's a terrible contract in my book, especially considering how much dead money we already have in our cap.

Everyone who has a clue on how bad he is, know he is a bad contract, if you have any doubt, ask the Kings fans, or go to the TT board and see if I'm wrong.

CoJo is not a bad contract! He only has a partial guarantee for next season!

A Kings ransom this ain't but they've consistently missed the playoffs for a long time so that 2nd could actually be pretty decent.

That's a perfect response! I love it!

I applaud your ability to twist anything to your advantage. Well done.

Vege keeps embarrassing himself.

Few months ago I bet he was mad we took on a 2 years deal for a combo guard Dallas wanted to unload.

And his obsession for Wood is ridicolous, he's an empty stats guy in awful teams.

How the heck did Cory Joseph ever play well enough to get a bad contract in the first place?

Breaking News: the Pistons are going to be bad again next year. 2.4M is totally irrelevant. Much like Blake’s dead money, it’s actually a positive for us. It provides incentive for the front office to commit to the tank for 2 years, which happen to have some serious talent where we should be drafting. Worry about the cap if we start trading for guys with 3-4 years left on their deals.

Felicio got a long contract, there are dumb GMs everywhere. CoJo was a decent defender, I guess that's why he got that contract, he's not anymore.

I would have liked us to wait on Lowry's situation to make a Delon trade, but that's OK.
That trade is a multiple positive for us:
1. We will be worst to finish the season, good for the tank.
2. We add 2 SRP to our stock of assets.
3. Sacto should be better to finish the season, good for our tank.
4. If Sacto wins some games, it will ensure they will finish ahead of Raptors and maybe overtook Hornets with LaMelo out, good for both of our 2021 SRP.

Anyway, I wish Delon all the best, he proved that he's a very valuable player here.

Even when the team gets some precious 2nd's your upset.

Obviously 2nd round picks are precious only when you trade them...

I’m fine with the return, but I thought we would have gotten more. I think a lot of playoff teams could have used him.

Return to Detroit Pistons
