To blanket summarize all my thoughts on this. I don’t think we have an open roster spot. Isaiah Hartenstein is under contract with the clippers. McGee, why? We already have a veteran big and we’re not competing for the playoffs. Biyombo, get out of here. This feels like people got sick of manocad mocking them for the Cade height thing and such, so a new guy was picked. Also Garza is a 3rd string project center taken 52nd overall, are we really this fired up over this

I thought we were going to be waiting for Bagley, but with Luke Walton fired and Bagley getting a changing the rotation his price is going to go up. The suns have a guy in Smith they didn't pick up next year option on, take a chance on him? Whatever it is we should buy low.

Why does he deserve some burn? He looks mostly lost out there from what I've seen, he needs to play in the G-League to figure out how to play defense with his physical limitations.

I admit I like Garza playing more solely for the entertainment value. I also don't think he'll ever be a rotation player on a good team. Even when he's full out playing hard, Stew jogging could pace him. I forget what dumb old movie it was where the main character is trying to drive fast, but when he looks out his car window, an old grandma and grandpa are in the car next to them, and grandma is yelling at grandpa to drive faster.

That's Garza.

This is depressing but Thon Maker would be starting for us if he was in our roster.

Then you’re not watching games or just playing the “pile on the whipping boy of the week” game. Blaha and Kelser were singing his praises two games ago.

I'll never understand why the Pistons felt the need to give him a full contract rather than have him on a two way.

He got that contract bc Weaver is an idiot who thinks he is playing 4D chess with the league

Take a flyer on BOL BOL. Give Denver Josh Jackson or Diallo, They need an athletic wing right now with their injuries.

I check this thread just hoping to hear a rumor. Pistons need an athletic, rim protecting, defensive rebounding, slam dunking big in the worst way. Beef Stew could be a starter in this league, but Grant and him just don't mix. A four that can't rebound with an undersized five that doesn't score or initiate any offense on his own is a bad combination.

^ I agree. Grant and Stew are not long term option together. One or the other will have to go, or Grant slides back to SF long term.

Or Stew comes off the bench.
