Terrible, he is Marcus Morris on a regular team.

I think Marcus Morris is currently better than Harrison Barnes. Barnes had 11.7ppg and 4.9rbg in 30mpg last season. That is a helluva lot to pay for Mediocrity.

So, Orlando has a super crowded frontcourt.
C Vucevic 11.75
FC Biyombo 17.5 (average)
FC Ibaka 12.25
F Gordon 4.35
F Green 15

That's a load of money and not enough minutes for five solid players, and they added three this offseason. Something's going to have to give, and I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

17.5 million per year for Biyombo is absolutely insane considering he won't be getting starters minutes and is arguably the fourth most important big man on that team behind Vucevic, Ibaka (not arguable) and Gordon (arguable).

Well the thing for me, like Ben Wallace, Biyombo has the ability to change a game on the defensive end of the floor. My problem with it (besides the size of the contract of course) is that it makes no sense.

So let's say they move on from Mr. Softy Vucevic a move that should have been done last year. That means Biyombo and Ibaka are your front court?

Or you start Gordon and Ibaka?

Orlando fans think they got something, but unless they makes some traded that team is a hot mess.

If this was a prime Ben Wallace level guy I'd be fine with the money regardless of whoever else they had on their team. He'd be the best player on their team.

Its not. Its Bismack Biyombo. He's not worth that, or even close to that.

I actually think with Ibaka protecting the rim and stretching the floor that Vucevic could work. Its totally possible they deal him, though he's on a pretty decent deal, but Biyombo/Ibaka? Ehhhh.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--nets-to-sign-tyler-johnson-to--50m-offer-sheet-145854260.html

Miami Heat restricted free-agent guard Tyler Johnson has agreed to sign a four-year, $50 million offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources told The Vertical.

Once Johnson, 24, signs the offer sheet at the end of the free-agent signing moratorium on Thursday, the Heat will have three days to match the offer and retain Johnson – or let him leave for the Nets.

Whoa. Johnson is subject to the Arenas provision as well so that's about the most they can offer him. The likely huge third and fourth years should prevent Miami from matching.

People are getting paid like crazy. I have no idea what these GMs are doing going out and spending it like it's the Armageddon.

Some guys are role players that are tying up anywhere from 15% to 23% of their team's cap. It's crazy.

The Nets have to find a way to bring in some young talent while not having their draft picks... might as well throw crazy money and hope teams can't match.

Good for Burke too, he can just come in and be a backup for Wall. Maybe he can improve his game and find a role in the league.

People wanted Burke because he was national player of the year, made it to the championship game, and scored 24 there. He showed a lot of heart, was clutch, and displayed leadership, with a lot of exposure along the way.

I didn't know many people to be upset by the KCP pick that were actually aware of him as a player and familiar with what he accomplished individually in the SEC; the issue was that very few follow SEC basketball to begin with, and Georgia didn't do well as a team.

Wouldn't want an entire fanbase--probably comprising half off the support Pistons get--to be baited, there.

Man, according to the general board(I know i know the I.Q. dips dramatically there)the Pistons are either the same, or somehow worse. Oh and Knicks fans are once again crawling out of the prehistoric mud to flap their little wings. How cute. It wouldnt be so bad if the overwhelming majority of them knew more then nothing about basketball itself. I know the odds are low, but I really hope the Pistons dont regress for some weird reason.

^ Truthfully? I'm fine with us being the same as long as it's the same as we played for the 25 games we had at the end of last season with Tobias was in our starting lineup. We were 16-9 over that stretch, which projects to a 52-53 win season. I think it's entirely reasonable to think Ish Smith and Jon Leuer, plus however we spend this last $10M (and we WILL spend it somehow, 'cuz it's "use it or lose it" money), will lock us in as a low-50's win team next season. And if we're better than that, all the better!
