Thompson is now clear to play as many minutes as needed. Good news!

Finally!
His 21mpg drove me nuts, because I want to see him shine and soar now.

Now I'm worried Bucks will jump into 3rd seed since Brunson had that nasty ankle injury

I'm not as concerned about the Bucks as I used to be. Giannis is always a problem, but if you really look at that series, who the hell guards Cade? Kuzma? Prince?

We'll know a lot more after the last games of the season against the Bucks, but they are not the same team from years back.

I like that matchup.

Battle of the 6th seeds is coming soon! 35-28 vs 35-28. 2025 Dennis Schröder team vs 2025 Dennis Schröder team.

Not worried about the Knicks falling. They have a cupcake schedule from mid March on

It'll be interesting to see how the Knicks do without Brunson for three to four weeks. I think it could actually help them in a playoff run if he gets a lot of rest in March and gets back to 100% healthy.... other guys get to get a lot more shots up and become part of a bigger role on offense to get rolling. We know guys like KAT, OG, and Bridges have all shown they are more than capable on the offensive end when called on. I think even if they were do only be a .500 team for a few weeks in the long run, as long as Brunson comes back 100%, the could be one of those blessing in disguise type scenarios for that team.

That said, Brunson only needs four more games to qualify for post season awards so I'm sure he'll play in a few to end out the season but I do think this injury pretty much increases Cade's all-nba chances from like 75% to 90+% this season.

Thibs is running that team into the ground, and having watched that game last night, they used Deuce McBride as a Brunson fill-in. Same exact offense. I was shocked watching.

Knicks are in deep, deep crap if Brunson is out for an extended period of time. 2 weeks is around 7 games. There is a very real scenario wherein its a Pistons/Knicks series, and Detroit has home court.

The next two games for Detroit, will help clarify the situation. Win both, and it becomes alarmingly possible.

We really can't fall below 6th, so not stressing overly much. It would be fun to say we had HCA in the 1st rd, but we have a high floor to stand on.

And the teams we're losing to are legit teams. We are, for the most part, continuing to beat teams we should beat.

You’re right about beating the teams we should.

As much as I’m not worried about falling below 6, I don’t want to back into the playoffs either.

I think the playoffs will be a great experience for the young group and definitely, something to build on.

Cutting down the miscues while still playing freely will be key to ascending higher.

Is it too early to say that Shroder has been a really great pick up, was a great trade by Trajan, and maybe Trajan's best trade so far (not much competition)?

Ya i luv him. I think out of THJR Beasley and him that he's the more likely starter level guy. Beasley has been amazing off the bench for us but seems when he starts he struggles.
Even if Tim starts I like that we have Shröder who can play bigger minutes alongside Cade.

With a minimum of 80 minutes together, the best pairs of Pistons players:

Schroder & Harris: Net Rating->+19,9
Schroder & Stew: Net Rating->+18,2
Reed & Ausar: Net Rating->+16.8
Harris & Tek: Net Rating->+15.8
Schroder +Cade: Net Rating->+14,4
Harris & Holland: Net Rating->+11.9
Cade & Sasser: Net Rating->+9.3

Ivey & Cade: Net Rating->-4.4

With this I don't want to throw Ivey to the lions, but I want to see how good Schroder is and also Harris of course.
