45% fg 33% 3pt 87% ft would be dreams for him by end of season. He needs to be involved more than just stored in the corner when all the starters are in though.
He has a 25usg and takes the 2nd most shots on the team. He just has to start knocking them down.

Alot of his shots come late in the game trying to get us back in it. It's not in the flow of the offense from the start of the game. Even Portland's announcers mentioned it. Watch how many possessions he's in the corner and the ball never touches him. It's obscene. He doesn't have to take every shot, but there should be ball movement.

it's one of the things that a lot of young bigs have to work on but with the blazers constantly hedging or trapping our PnRs it led to stewart getting the ball a bunch in the short roll spot. it was kind of painful seeing him in that spot and often made decisions too slowly, didn't see the court or put up an awkward play.

stewart was always destined to struggle this season as his first year as a full time starter but this is one of the many things to add to the list in terms of improvement.

I really wish they'd bring in a big man coach just to work on screen setting for Stewart. But this coaching staff doesn't seem worried about developing anyone.

Yeah, not too horrific considering the wretched first 3 games. For reference:

Anthony Edward's first 16 games: 12ppg, 3rpg, 2apg, 0.6spg, 0.1bpg (34% FG, 27% 3FG)

Cade's first 16 is around 13.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 4.5apg, 1.3spg, 0.6bpg (36% FG, 27% 3FG)

He’d need to shoot around 48 percent from the field and at least 35 percent from the field for the rest of the year to achieve that. Possible? Yes. But I’d say that’s a moonshot. Mathematically people underestimate how much of a hole shooting this badly for 16 games puts you in. It’s probably not appropriate to be all that hung up on his whole season stats this year. What we need is improvement throughout the year.

And his free throw percentage, again, doesn’t matter unless he’s going to get to the line more.

The offensive sets we run aren't conducive to the talent we have on the floor!

More ball movement and player movement shifts the D in ways we choose which allows our guys to attack.

Atm it just seems all very basic and stagnant

Chauncey Billups said the Pistons play really hard and that their offense is “random,” which can create real problems when shots are falling.

Because our coach is a complete moron who prioritizes catering to a former player.

For the worst team in the league to hold back a promising 2nd year player so that Corey F*ing Joseph can get his minutes teeters between laughably stupid and unconscionable. For that matter, so was re-signing Joseph in the first place.

Bey is now below Cade in TS% on the season... for players who play 20+ MPG it looks like this.

Blake Griffin 39.7% Worst in NBA, out of Nets rotation currently
Michael Porter Jr 41.6%, 2nd worst in NBA, injured and had surgery and out for season
Jalen Suggs 44.4% tied for 7th worst
Killian Hayes 44.4% tied for 7th worst
Saddiq Bey 44.7% 11th worst in NBA
Cade Cunningham 46.2% 17th worst in NBA

Cade at home (9 games): 13.6 PPG on 31.4%, 21.1% from 3

Cade Away (7 games): 14.1 PPG on 43.2%, 37% from 3

Could be the result of a small sample size, or it could be the result of a guy that plays better through adversity. In college, he was more or less the same player on the road, even though many of the ‘cupcake games’ were home games.

It's a small sample size for sure, but the fact that he has missed so many wide open 3s at home makes you wonder if he feels a bit more pressure wanting to perform for the home town fans. It's not like we're packing the arena or anything, but you can certainly tell the home town fans are wanting/hoping every shot of his goes in and you can often hear the collective groan when he bricks one at home. As we get further into the season each game will get more and more comfortable for him.... especially if we start to win a little bit more. Right now he probably feels like he is wanting/needing to live up to that #1 pick status and that could be a lot for a 20 year old kid coming into a new city having the weight of the franchise on his shoulders. I'd assume its more about that as going on the road and playing basketball isn't really something I'd call adversity.

Nobody can hit a shot. There's been countless times when he's created open shots for others (almost too unselfishly at times) and the brick ensues. In fairness, Cade has had his fair share of missed shots as well but his assist numbers would be way higher on just about any other team.

On that note about shooting, has there been any updates on Livers status? I haven't see any recent timelines on his potential return. With him being an older prospect, I wonder if he can jump in right away and contribute. They certainly need the shooting desperately.

There are difficulties and misfortunes that come with playing road games. Home teams win 60% of regular season games and 65% of playoff games. I agree with everything else though

Livers just played his first game with the Cruise last week in Grand Rapids and shot 2 of 14. You can see the entire game here (he's #12)

The players would respect a coach like Chauncey because they saw him win a title.

Come home Chauncey! We need you bro. Our current coach blows a_s

Thanks and sheesh that's discouraging even though it's only 1 game. I guess we won't be seeing him up with the Pistons anytime soon then.

I'm ready to accept the theory that Joseph is blackmailing Casey for minutes. I would much rather lose with Lee on the court.
