Re: Around the League
I could absolutely see Indy coming out hot, jump out to an early lead and turn this into a no-contest. They've looked like the better team so far. But we'll see. I've been wrong a lot already this post season lol

The way the Knicks have played against the Celtics and, yes, they were going to beat the Celtics with Tatum last night it makes the Pistons battle against the Knicks look all the more better.

Amazing the game is this close after the way the game started. Hali dominated the 2nd quarter.

I hate both teams, but it would be funnier if the Pacers eliminated Cleveland on their home court after earning the #1 seed.... so I'm rooting for that.

Definitely NOT the series I expected, but NY vs. Indy may actually be pretty good. Real changing of the guard happening in the East. I hope JB is enjoying this.

They are forming a little rivalry
Knicks vs Pacers

They already have a lot of history between them.

And Mitchell bricks 3 FT in a row. In between making a couple of big 3's, but still...

Atkinson certainly wasn’t “the diff.”

Re: Around the League
It's looking very possible that the final 4 is going to be:
Knicks
Pacers
Thunder
Timberwolves
Only the Pacers are locked in- and of these the Nuggets still have a semi-okay chance, but that would be a WILD group. It speaks to the fact that maybe there is parity in the NBA after all. The Knicks and Thunder (as the Sonics) haven't won a championship since the 70s. The Wolves and Pacers have NEVER won an (NBA) championship.

Re: Around the League
I'm a victim of the moment and will change my mind in 10 minutes, but I kinda like Indy right now. Their offense is humming and we know what Carlisle can do defensively. I could totally see them run the table. Matching their offense up against OKC's defense would be fun to watch.Snakebites wrote:It's looking very possible that the final 4 is going to be:

I'm still not 100% on NY. It's too much hero ball and great as Brunson is that's sorta offset by Hali/SGA. Minny is sorta same thing; giving that 80's Bulls vibe when it was too much MJ and not enough of the Jordanettes.
But nothing has played out as I expected sooo... we'll see. Been an awful lot of fun being wrong so far.

Yep, that was my immediate thought and Atkinson had Mitchell as they got eliminated while JB didn't. The Pistons, with the Knicks playing well against the Celtics, and with the Cavs getting eliminated early it makes the Pistons and JB look better.

I'm not saying BOS is better without Tatum... but they have a better winning %
