GSW in 5. Rockets are like a worse version of them.

You need both a "star" level player and a deep roster. Role players were huge for both the Cavs and Rockets in their series, but it's a lot easier for guys like JR Smith, Shumpert, Tristan Thompson, Josh Smith, Prigioni, Ariza etc to make a big impact when Lebron/Harden/Dwight is drawing a team's attention.

Doc the GM really screwed the pooch. Hawes was bad for them and he was their big acquisition last summer. They gave away Jared Dudley and he had a nice bounceback year. As you mentioned, the depth wasn't there and they had dead legs after 14 games in the first 2 rounds.

If cavs makes it (I picked ATL in 6) Lebron guards Curry rite.

J. Smooth could be blamed for this loss too

i really hope when we are competing again for a title we have at least 3 knock down 3 point shooters because only having 1 like the Hawks have is not nearly enough. Need to have a team like the Spurs have

Steph's gravity makes everyone play so much better. Everyone is constantly looking at Curry and he makes such crisp passes during crunch time. Definition of elite.

And to think someone actually created a Korver vs. Curry thread in the player comparison board to debate who is the better shooter...hah, laughable.

^Yep.

The guy has broke records for most 3s two years in a row and won a 3pt contest in what was one of the more stacked ones in a long time. Not to mention every defense is dialed in solely on him or his splash bro. It's insane.

There's never been a player like him.

Does steph run around screens alot like Rip and Reggie used to? Does he even run around many screens at all? I don't think he does. I'm not counting top of the key P&R

While yes Steph does get open using screens, where he thrives is his V-cut, he really sells the cut and allows that split second opening. Whats truly underrated is how he sets his shot up. Its something some basketball players don't learn their whole life, get behind the ball

That is how I always see him score, is a step back three, the v-cut, just dribbling and nailing it in their face, or driving.

Does he actually run around screens like Rip and Reggie? I'm not sure i've seen it, but like 5 times in these playoffs, if he is in the game, the ball is normally in his hands.
