Re: Your 2022 NBA Draft Prospect
I feel like multiple top prospects were in systems that limited how good they look. Ivey playing with the big man offense, Chet only getting like 8 shots a games on vet Timme led zags team, and Paolo by K. Its a good thing adds a little sneaky upside to our pick.

Re: Your 2022 NBA Draft Prospect
I maaaybe wondered this here out loud a while ago.
Does anyone think K.Murray and T.Eason can play back-up center along with minutes at both forward spots?
A. "the new NBA" kind of idea with solid shooting and athleticism being better than many centers. Maybe including I.Stewart.
B. N.Batum and R.Covington have been effective at center after having lost athleticism.

At 5
Sharpe, Dyson, or Ivey
At 7 trading for Grant
Eason or Murray
I think you gotta go with a guard at 5 because after the top 3, the best talent is in the guards.
At 7 you either keep Grant or draft his 2-way defensive minded replacement in Eason or Murray.
If we ended up with Sharpe & Eason at 5 & 7, that would be the draft heist of the century!

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Completely agree.
Our starting team would look like this:
Cade
#5 (Sharpe or Ivey)
Bey
Grant or #7 (Murray or ...)
Stewart
And as a second team:
Hayes
Diallo or Jackson
Livers
Bagley
Olynyk
Doesn't seem so bad, pending later entry into free agency and trades.

Yep, steal Mo Bamba from Orlando in free agency since they took Chet, they don’t need him. Now we have our 7’9 wingspan that can shoot 3s. Consolation for not getting Chet.

Eason would be a beast smallball center in the playoffs

Re: Your 2022 NBA Draft Prospect
Really good breakdown of Shaedon Sharpe. Long video but worth it.
Good shooter. But jumpshot reliant.
Questionable first step and handle. I like how he showed what Sharpe will need to learn in order to drive to hoop. The James Harden moves will need to be learned or he’s gonna struggle.
Good cutter and finisher.
Good passer, but since he doesn’t collapse the lane he doesn’t really create for others.
As he says in the video, this is AAU, but his defense was pretty lazy and pathetic. He won’t play a min if he plays like that with Casey around. I think he’ll learn.
The Ivey vs Sharpe comparison are pretty drastic and will be fun moving forward. Ivey is North South while Sharpe is Jump shooting side step.
Good shooter. But jumpshot reliant.

Re: Your 2022 NBA Draft Prospect
Welp we can move on from talking about Banchero. I'm all aboard the Keegan Murray train, he would be a very good 3 in the NBA but it would be a struggle for him defensively. I don't want him playing the 4 at only 6'8. Little too small for me there.

Yea that dude is pretty high on Ivey, and I’m really starting to agree with him.
Crazy to hear that Ivey is the most prolific deep ball three point shooter in all of college basketball.

Doesn't look like he knows how to finish. If it's not a dunk, it's an adventure.

Agreed
I mean this playoff series this year has basically proved that you don't need a traditional sized and skilled center much at all. All the teams that feature a starting center have all been knocked out. And it's been this way for a while. Even if you squint and say Giannis was basically a center last year winning the chip, he's still isn't a traditional center.
If you have enough firepower at your guard and SF, you can easily mitigate any damage an opposing big can do just by sending doubles and let their role players beat you. It's been the story for rounds 1 and 2 for some time

Shaedon Sharpe has to be the pick. With risk comes rewards.

Sharpe is the same size as Wendell Moore so more SG combo guard size than true wing.

Sharpe measuring in at 6’5.25 with a nearly 7 foot wingspan is great. That’s more length than Jae Crowder and Butler and they can guard elite wings.

I don’t know about not being a true wing. He’s within an inch of Jae Crowder and Jimmy Butler but is longer than both. He’s only 2 inches from Grant and he’s a 4.
