I wouldn't be able to pick against Michael Jordan either, but he retired a long time ago.

26, Started watching Basketball around 96. I only seen 3 years with Chicago, 2 as a old man with Washington, but enough to see how great he was.

I'd say Lebron still needs 2 more titles to be considered more G.O.A.T than Kobe too, he is on his way tho.

Warriors in 5. A broken down Kyrie and Love out is going to start hurting them now.

I started watching Jordan in 87, was a huge fan, hated the bad boys, still have a bunch of Jordan stuff I collected as a kid but.....he was no LeBron. He was a better scorer but he didn't make his teammates better like Bron. Jordan was surrounded by a ton of talent, Krause put together some amazing rosters, they won 60 games without MJ the first time he retired.

You hated Bad Boys?

I agree Lebron hasn't had the teams, but he did leave to get a team that was pretty sweet in Miami, then left them to go back to another sweet situation in Cleveland.

Once Jordan got over the hump there was no looking back for him, not same for Bron. Love the Jordan and Kobe mentality of we will shoot the last shot no matter what, Lebron used to shrink in the moment somewhat (Dallas series), he is over that, hopefully.

Lebron does make his teammates better, that is his playstyle. Jordan and Kobe's are pretty similiar tho. I'd rank both ahead of Lebron atm, he can catch them, but not there yet, rings count imo

You're grounded from ESPN. I wish I had more time to respond to this

Maybe, but i'm a believer he needs at least 2 more rings.

I'm guessing this is about what you were going to say.

http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nba/p ... /28056173/

It's pretty accurate, but it isn't MJ fault nor Lebrons. If you agree with the MJ played lesser competetion, you would have to consier this too, not sure if that would be your argument.
By the reasoning of the article it means that Walton, Olajuwon and Kareem Abdul Jabbar are not as good as today's Post players because they never had to play against athletic 7-Footers, that Chris Paul is better than John Stockton because the defenders he faced were not as quick and strong as today's point guards.

These are basically my thoughts

http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nba/p ... /28056505/

In terms of pure talent, James may be better than Jordan. But Jordan gets the edge nationally because of rings. To me, he gets the edge due to confidence. Ask Jordan who the better player was and you know the answer and you know he believes it. Ask LeBron who the better player is. Maybe he'll say that he is. Maybe he won't. But you know that they'll be a voice in the back of his head wondering if that's not the right answer. That's the difference.

That's way too easy of an answer for me, though it is factual.

Plz,jordan was better than lebron, you take jordan and dont look back.
Jordan had that killer mentality and I cant believe anyone would say he didnt make his teammates better, damn near all of his teammates have praised him on that aspect.

Jordan 1000 times out of 1000

Like it or not he never lost a Finals series. Once he was there he was gonna win or he was gonna die.

Yes the legend grows and grows as time passes for some but LeBron has lost too many times when he's made the Finals

That said: I hope Cleveland win!

Yeah I said it, so what?

He came, he saw, he made the Finals then left...and win elsewhere!

If he wins it in Cleveland....for them it will be like the Bad Boys were for us, maybe bigger!

Love how the Warriors play, how the roster has been built, Kerr is undefeated in the Finals if memory serves...but uf LeBron brings it home to Cleveland...that'll be insane

Lebron isn't the scorer Jordan was nor the prime defender.

I'm definitely rooting for GSW in the finals.
I really don't want to see Cleveland win.

Me neither, call me a hater, but they have been gifted so much and pissed it away, then lebron thinks he can will them a champioship because hes lebron.GSW has drafted the right way,got the right coach, and have put in there time.To me,GSW deserves a championship more than the cavs, not to mention ,I think there the better team, who can pull off more championships in the future,if lebron leaves, the cavs will shrink back down to just another good team in the east, with no clear shot at any finals.I also honestly think lebron came home because of his legacy, whats a better story, stay with the heat and win a couple more championships with 2 other super stars,or come back home to a down trouting team and restore them to champions as the savior, with 2 other stars who are question marks.

My dilema,

i hate cleveland , i hate lebron, i hate how since he's entered the league, he's been a entitled little sh*. HOWEVER, i went to college in the bay, and i would estimate about half their fan base this year, just became fans of the GSW. While yes that's amazing for the game of basketball, its really irritating to see people who you know don't give to squirts of shiz about bball, all of a sudden acting like they know everything about basketball because they are bandwagon'ers. As much as i hate lebron, i would love to see the look of despair on their faces if GS lost.

Additionally for the first time, i really think Lebron is coming in with the odds against him. He'll have to carry this team to a championship, and if he does, i believe that's the first step of the discussion of GOAT. There's really know way GS should lose this. I am a underdog fan, and if lebron does carry his team, i estimate its going to be really fun to watch what he does

I understand the bandwagon fans hate. Trust me. I live in toronto and I've seen the we the north nonsense grow and it annoys me no end. Having said that, GS have always had a solid fan base. remember the "we believe" warriors?? those crowds were amazing.

I could never want Cleveland to win. I just can't do it.

There'll always be bandwagon fans, remember the Heat fanboys that jumped to the Cavs once the King returned home? Golden state at least has the most dedicated and loudest fan base ever in the NBA right now. Even when they weren't this good, they still had insane crowds that would out majority of the other teams to shame.

Go Warriors.

I don't understand why people say this. When Doug Collins put MJ at PG briefly early on his career, he dropped 10 triple doubles in 11 games. And the game where he didn't, he had 41/10/7. MJ averaged 8 assists/game that year, and 5 assists on his career...it's pretty clear he, along with Kobe, were very good playmakers when the situation called for it. He had Pippen playing point forward so naturally MJ took on less of a facilitating role...but perhaps if he had played with a great big man instead of Pippen he may have been more of a facilitator.

At the end of the day people get so caught him in the many facets of the game that they forget the point of the game. Sure, LeBron is a better rebounder and playmaker. But the point of the game is to put the ball into the basket, prevent the other team from putting the ball into the basket, and to win championships. And MJ did all 3 of those things at a level LeBron hasn't...Lebron is not the scorer MJ was, or the defender MJ was, or the winner MJ was. MJ's the best of Kobe and LeBron put together...Kobe's mentality, fearlessness and skill without the bad shot selection, and many of LeBron's athletic gifts and his basketball IQ without his mentality. 6-0 in the finals vs. 2-3 (possibly soon to be 2-4) speaks for itself.
