Yeah, I think there's a fundamental conceptual disconnect here when people talk about potential sign and trades.

The Magic can only really negotiate with the team that Harris chooses to sign with. I'e never heard of a scenario where a player likes 2 teams absolutely equally and who he goes to is determined by the quality of offer the home team gets. The only scenario under which the team would have ANY control over where a player goes is if none of the teams with cap space are interested in a player.

Tiago Splitter to the Hawks so that's eats up some of their cap space. But I imagine they have a bit since they lost Milsap and Carroll

Man, the Pistons keep breaking my heart. No one wants to play for Detroit, its like a 3rd world country. If the NBA started a franchise in Mexico I'm sure the Tijuana Banditos would have an easier time attracting free agents than this team.

A pretty decent chunk of the league, I believe. Knicks, Lakers, Hawks certainly do.

SVG please just offer Harris max. I dont want trade for sf, like Joe Johnson and lose Jennings, Meeks or even more and lose our depth because we traded for starting sf. I would rather rather pay Harris max than Joe Johnson his contract and lose players with trade.

Doubt it's a bunch of teams at this point. Who besides Det and Bos (Orl too, obv) can offer more than 13 mill at this point?

After seeing guys get overpaid like crazy, Tobias on a max is a must(hyperbole, sure). I'm also one of the few who wouldnt mind, striking out and moving via trade.

IF not, Stanimal will be Rook of the Year :nod:

Any notion that Jackson or Harris can be secured for less than the max is downright silly. Should extend Drummond now too before the cap goes up.
