Draft sleeper, quick riser Jalen Williams. If we do draft Murray and then trade Grant he could be a target in the 15-20 range. Reminds me of Cade.

If I had to make a bet, right now, I would say that Ivey/Murray will become a Piston on Thursday. Now, if Ivey ends up getting selected in the top three, all bets are off, who the hell knows what could happen in that mess.

I wouldn't be shocked if Murray goes 4th to somebody that the Pistons take Mathurin over Ivey. Pistons social media would go nuclear if that happened.

Your not kidding. His game is very similar to Cades.

Wow.

Your wisdom should be telling you that’s not a Kings move. When was the last time they were afraid to draft someone they never worked out, interviewed, etc? Drafting Ivey is a kings move lol but I agree it’s looking like Ivey going fifth

Would they really do that at #4 though? Not even work the guy out in Ivey and show that much interest in a guy who lets be honest is right in the mix around the #4 anyways in Murray.

Yes because I think they believe it’s a Top 4 draft. Weaver said it’s a top 8-9 guys. It’s all salesmanship. The truth is if the Kings truly wanted to make it seem like they’re a threat to draft Ivey then they would’ve tried to get to know him. Maybe Ivey never let them. He only worked out for Orlando and Detroit. I believe we will draft Ivey because I also believe this summer the Kings are not going to be dumb like they always have been. I think they traded for Sabonis to win now and they are going to pickup a win now player and that’s absolutely Murray. Unlike others I’m actually a big fan of Murray I think he’s exactly what we need at PF and if we get him I want Grant out. Otherwise if we get Ivey, extend Grant. We need depth at that point and veterans. I’d go for one of Sexton or Gary Harris, maybe Schroeder if cheap 3yr/21m. Then sign best center available like Nurkic, Mitchell. All that means if we get Ivey, we’re done rebuilding the team.

If we get jaden hopefully cade rubs off on him not the other way around. Tho cade seems very confident and don’t think others can influence him. Idk how they’ll work together. If Ivey gets a good 3pt % they will work very good

Ivey will have the most upside and probably the biggest wow moments and the biggest headaches. If we draft Murray, I think the competition between him and the other bigs will super fun all season. How fun would it be to see him compete for rookie of the year over those guys?

For Mathurin, I think guys that lack A+ in their games often get overlooked. He's consistently a B+/A- skilled player.

You know having listened to a few podcasts and watched several scouting reports I can say two very true statements: 1) I have no idea who will be the best player out of any of these guys. 2) Nobody else does either.

The guy passed up a first round contract to return to school and improve his draft stock and work on his game. He also made huge improvements since then. He also has a great upbringing.

Ivey wants to be in Detroit. Hes also clearly the best prospect after the big 3. Go get him!

Ivey wanting to be here just adds to the "He's the guy" factor for me. Plus I also feel he's BPA and plays a position of need anyways.

I think Sacto trades out of the spot for a now player and a much later FRP if one at all.

I go BenMath over Murray if Grant isn't dealt on draft night.
Weaver = Hinkie
VW to Portland

I think Pistons can beat any realistic offer with Grant and 5. Im sure if Ivey dont drop to #5 then Weaver has a trade ready to go to stop everyone from moving up.

Only team i worry about are the Pacers but they might be content with just taking Sharpe or Mathurin.

Ivey seems destined to be a Detroit Piston.

*sigh*

Let's do it.

Return to Detroit Pistons
