I'm not really worried about this. This draft is totally overrated and we don't need anymore rookies anyway. We'll be fine.

We needed that cap space for the Jennings/Smith duo. It sucks that we lost our pick this year, though; we could have traded it along with one of those overpaid stiffs to get even more cap space and overpay someone else, continuing the beautiful cycle.

The Cavs got lucky but it's not their fault that we don't have our pick at 9....

Before the SVG signing this would be really really bad but now at least with stan we have a good chance of being good next season. Any chance we trade smith for a 1st round pick?

I just want to point out that the Cavs had the lowest karma in Simmons' piece

13. Cleveland Cavaliers
I can’t decide what makes them more ineligible for karma — would you go with “two no. 1 overall picks and two other top-four picks just in the past three years, but they batted 25 percent,” or would you go with “rehired the same shaky coach they already fired, gave him a five-year deal, then fired him again after Year 1”? When Obama appoints me the Czar of Sports, I’m making this rule: “No NBA team can win the lottery two times in a 10-year span.” Much less three. It’s too bad Brick Tamland isn’t a real person, because the Cavs definitely would have hired him as their coach/GM.

The draft class may be overrated but it has a bunch of players who are a whole lot better than what we have on our roster.

We didn't tank. We played Josh Smith. Oh wait.

We sat him the last 5 games and went 1-4. Had we won one of those games we'd have the #1 pick.

Yeah sure. The NBA could give the 1 pick to Boston, LA or Philly. But since it's rigged, of course they will choose Cleveland. Are you kidding me?

i guess they are just the luckiest team in the world! 3 of the last 4 number one picks. whats the lotto numbers Cleveland!?

Exactly the same odds Chicago had when they won the draft and took Rose

This is setting up a huge situation in Cleveland

Gigantic cap space, Bennet and Waiters/Thompson can be moved for a quality player, #1 pick, and Lebron coming back home after this season to take the Cavs to the promised land

Couldnt have scripted it better myself

We were a few wins away from the 5,6,7 spots but instead chose to play Stuckey and go for dumb wins and sure enough we paid the **** price

I really despise the NBA

Yeah, we had to sign the dynamic duo of stupidity.

The best part is it was to sign Josh Smith. I'll bet Gores is congratulating himself on saving that 14 million. Wouldn't plan on making any money selling this franchise anytime soon.

Congrats to Cleveland.

& there is no reward for that.

Joe Dumars traded Ben Gordon & our pick so he could sign Jennings & Smith to make us live through the worst season of garbage bball since the teal Pistons.
