I think we just have different ideas about what overweight means. If CV is out there looking chubby and having more muscle on him than fat, then I consider him overweight. Its too bad that CV choose to take a picture of him on the scale, rather than take a picture of his body.

Fair enough. What your talking about is BMI, and for his height and weight he's in the normal range, maybe he's on the cusp. I'm not saying he's in great shape. But its just strange to me that even if he was slightly out of shape that they wouldnt take him and work with him. An out of shape NBA player is still better than alot of other options you can drum up from only God knows where. But yea for 6'11 243 is not usually what you'd consider overweight. But yea I'm sure he can afford to put some muscle on.

I'm really hopeful this is the snub Charlie needs to get a chip on his shoulder. However, I'm more realistic than that and fearful it's going to lead him to grab a bag of chips.

Bottom line is he wasn't good enough to make the Dominican team. Whether it was because he was overweight, out of shape, or just wasn't good enough doesn't really make much of a difference.

Calipari was probably doing CV a favor by saying he was out of shape/overweight. He could've told the world he got cut because he sucked, instead. CV should've just shut up about it. Trying to use twitter to make Calipari look bad just shows the kind of character he has. He's a big immature baby, who now is also not good enough to make a D-grade olympic team.

haha, instead of keeping a chip on his shoulder, he keeps his chips in his stomach.

That last sentence seems to be inferring that CV was not behaving - possibly being a negative influence. Anyone else catch that?

In what world does "Charlie behaved really well" infer that he was not behaving well? :-?

Not sure why i'm doing this to myself, but watch this video ^^
It's when CV held his own playing alongside LBJ and CP3 in high school..... :nonono:
how did he go from that to what he is now???
I really had high hopes for him when we signed him, but he somehow managed to get worse. DAMN YOU CV!!

CV coulda been the next Lamar Odom. No question he can score, even when out of shape. But, if he kept himself in that shape, was motivated and actually worked hard, he could have been a great signing. $8 mil right now would be a good price for a solid PF.

^Yeah, I agree...Hopefully Charlie V comes in this season ready to play...His first 2 season in Detroit were pretty good...Providing 11pts off the bench while spreading the floor and keeping the defense honest was a good role for Charlie V...I think Charlie V will have a bounce-back season after going through a little turmoil...With the Dominican team cutting him and lack of playing time last season, it might do more good than harm...
