No I'd rather have what the Cavs got for Hood.

I don't know much about Svi, but this is a refreshing trade for us. When we know we can't keep a player, and they have value, we should capitalize on that by bringing in building blocks. Young players and picks are what will help us build during this cap hell we're in.

I'll miss Bullock, he was a great addition to this team, but I'm glad we were honest about his offseason value and our ability to pay it.

Who starts now? Kennard? SJ? Svi? We may like Svi and Kennard together.

If this is a move being made to get Conley I dont know how much better it even makes us. We would be adding Conley but losing Jackson/Bullock. Sure we might be a couple games better but its not going to make us enough better to throw in a 1st rounder and ruin future cap flexibility.

Why? I think it's a solid deal, did you think we were going to get a lottery pick for Bullock?

If, as many have already posted, we decided / knew we weren’t paying Bullock this off-season, it’s pretty shrewd to get a look at a cheap shooter in Svi and acquire a pick to make the Conley deal happen. It’s essentially like playing poker with free money.

That tidbit about the Lakers is good to know.

It's also worth noting that we've got some gaps in our second rounder holdings that this trade helps mitigate some.

But yeah, no effing way this has any impact on a larger move. That's not a needle moving asset in a trade.

Doesn't affect our ability to make a trade, but it is a forward looking move instead of a win now move.
If the goal was to be as competitive as possible in this years playoffs, we trade for Conley and keep Bullock.

No I thought a late first round pick. At least what the Cavs got for Hood.

It almost has to be Kennard, otherwise nobody can shoot even on a good night. Svi won't start over him.

I will say I'd much rather have a young player and a pick then just losing Bullock for nothing

If we complete this trade I am 100% done with this team. This is garbage.

It pretty much is the same deal, Cavs got expirings and two 2nd rounders down the road, we got a 2nd rounder from this past draft and a future 2nd.

Shams is a pretty reliable choice.

See you later, I suppose.

People seem to forget all those trade deadlines when we were begging Dumars to send expirings out for some value, and he consistently just let the clock run out.

I dont mind the trade if its being made because the front office knows we cant resign Bullock. If this is a trade is a precursor to trading for M.Conley then our front office is terrible. You dont trade by far your best wing then make a win now Mike Conley trade two days later.

Yes...yes I would. The cap is going up, we're getting out of Ish's deal...there was room to re-sign him. Bullock isnt getting 10+ million a year this summer.

I know losing Bullock is going to ruin our championship run.... :-)

So how much bitching has gone on that we don't develop players? At least Luke is going to get a chance to shoot. A lot.

Overall: Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk is an extremely young four year player with a pure jump shot with plenty of range ... He's a solid athlete with good size for an NBA shooting guard, but defensively leaves quite a bit to be desired ... He does have nice ball handling skills, and intangibles as a passer, and looks to be a player a team could bring on to be a situational shooter ... The new NBA needs players who can hit the three ball, and Svi can give you a nearly 6'8'' marksman with a pretty solid overall game, and some room to grow ...
