I dunno man. I see Orlando passing us by if we don't upgrade by the deadline.
And if Miami gets something serviceable for Butler, they could too.
Leaves us at 8 with Hawks and Bulls 9+10.

Heat, Orl and Longshot even Toronto with BI all could pass Detroit now(9 games hard to make up though)

I think we have over achieved not taking anything away from Cade at the point in the season where others teams weren't trying all that hard.

Pistons & Blazers will get a hard real dose of reality after all star break. Maybe I'm wrong but don't see us keeping 6th seed as currently constructed. Cades going to gas out.

I thin we're still a play-in team but do agree that without a move the 6th seed probably isn't sustainable.

I do think it's reductive to say we've been winning because "teams aren't trying very hard against us". That may have been true very early into the season but we're 50 games in by now. Other teams got the memo some time ago.

Good chance to rip off 4 in a row and really make a run at 6th seed.

Our strength of remaining schedule is one of the weakest in the league now after our recent run of difficult games. We have an easier remaining schedule than every team except Boston, Orlando, Washington, Philly and Toronto.

Of those only Orlando is super relevant to us unless you still think Philly can bounce back after seeing them last night.

You're the wet blanket that downplayed their wins for whatever reason. That's the textbook definition of a negative Nancy.

Going through stats, as I often do, and man. Cades been on a tear over his past 6 games, so much so, I don't ever remember another Pistons player, to ever have these stats over the course of six games, even with his three-point shot failing him during this span.

6 GAMES.

MPG-36.8
PPG-30.2
RPG-6.2
APG-10.5
SPG-1.3
FTA-7.0
FT%-.952%
TOV-3.2
FG%-.451
3P%-.275%

Those numbers are ALL-NBA first team. Just ridiculous.

Coincidence? I think not.

I didn’t learn anything about Cade I didn’t already know — cool, calm, team-oriented guy that wants to win.

But JBB, that was interesting. He seems to share a lot of qualities with Coach Casey, but since he’s so much younger, he’s still in touch with the players’ generation. More big brother than father figure. And he’s very sharp, no surprise as a second generation coach.

He may not be a master tactician, but he’s a great fit for where we are now.

He's a master tactician compared to Casey, that's for sure.

Except for inbound plays. Casey was masterful at those
