Interesting to see what the details of a potential contract look like. Will there be a clause allowing him to dip, and sign to an NBA team once this all blows over, for example.

We do need him, but man, he seems a little unhinged in general.

Need? Nah. He'd be nice, but we don't *need* him. Honestly, I think we'd struggle to find minutes for him unless we did a consolidation trade.

We need shooting, right? He's shooting, right? Let's not overthink this thing here.

We could use him because Robinson and his salary could be thrown into a trade. Beasley could be a great add for cheap.

Definitely a useful player, but I think we're for sure past the point of trying to read the tea leaves based on social media posts.

I definitely have him in the "we could use him but it's nothing to count on" category.

I feel like Duncan has a higher floor as a shooter and Beasley has a higher ceiling. Neither brings much defensively and we don't want too much of that in the lineup.

If we bring him back for the season then if he’s good we can give him a good contract, two premier three point shooters with Cade would awesome, if the opportunity is there I would do it. Trade Sasser and still promote Jenkins

If he's cleared, it would be a total no brainer to try to sign him. We've got a bunch of end of the roster guys who , lets face it, aren't going to play a meaningful minute for us. We likely wouldn't be playing him and duncan minutes together, be we could always keep a high level 3 point shooter on the floor.

Getting Beasley back would give us a lot more options going into the trade deadline. Duncan is the only high volume outside shooter that creates space like he's on fire even when he's missing. Beasley can bring the same thing.

I suspect he's done in the NBA though. They wouldn't hold him up like this if there wasn't something to all these allegations.

One of the more unspoken advantages of getting Beasley back in here this year is it increases what we could offer him next year. If he got cleared tomorrow, they could still sign him to that $7.2 million (prorated) salary for the remainder of the year, which would allow us to offer him a contract next year starting at $12.6 million without even touching the MLE. That's big since we won't have capspace.

But if he goes the whole year and doesn't play I would imagine we're still limited to the $7.2 salary if he's cleared for next year, since it'll be based off his last salary last year. After losing a whole year's salary he may have to go to the highest bidder in that scenario. But being able to use EBR on Beas and Tobias allows us to retain both guys next year (provided we wanted to) and still add a player with the MLE. Not even to mention the fact that adding his quick trigger shooter really makes us super dangerous this year.
