I think either deal is exponentially better than what we current are working with.

Now I'm wondering if IT + Thompson, + Williams deal would work for Smith. If Williams is too much substitute Outlaw.
I would have tried to insist Landry go back to you guys, but we have less leverage after the Collison trade.

I'm still not 100% sure whether Sacramento can trade players along with Thomas in the same deal or not?
Otherwise, I'm really hoping this happens. The Collison deal definitely signals that Sacramento are moving on from Thomas- that much is certain. Ray McCallum was something of a revelation for them last season, and his cheap salary certainly keeps them in their future plans.
Also- A deal of Thomas and either Thompson or Williams works salary wise. If Thomas was making $8 million, then the combined salary of all 3 would be close to $20 million.
Can a team send more than one player out in a sign-and-trade? For example, Detroit trading Greg Monroe and Brandon Jennings in one deal this summer.

Sure, the “trade” part of a sign-and-trade is just like any other trade. It’s the “signing” part of the deal that has additional restrictions — the contract must be for at least three seasons, at least the first season must be fully guaranteed, and the deal is voided if the player isn’t trade within 48 hours.

I heard somewhere a few weeks back that SVG actually prefers Landry over Thompson which seems kinda strange to me.

Monroe, Smith, Singler
for
Dragic, Parsons, Len

Bledsoe / Smith
Green / Goodwin
Tucker / Singler / Morris
Smith / Morris / Warren
Monroe / Plumlee / Randolph
