Jerebko, Datome, Bynum all trash and all need to be off the team one way or another by the end of this offseason

If Novak and Salmons can get traded for nothing so can they

Only difference is that the Pistons organization probably the most conservative of all of the franchises. Was hoping it would change with SVG at the helm.

As far as I can tell, SVG is sitting on his hands as much as Dumars is. We needed a new PG and SF and got neither.

Cleveland, Chicago, Charlotte, Indiana, Washington, Toronto, Atlanta
- Those teams are locks for the playoffs

If Lopez comes back strong for Brooklyn and Melo and Gasol go to New York they could sneak into the 8th seed

At this point with no more moves being made we are looking at another season of missing the playoffs but at least this season we get to keep our pick

How about Bynum for 2nd round pick in 2015 draft? Which teams would be intrested in that?

Now is the time to offer Smith to Houston. Like, right now. We have 36 hours until they don't have cap room.

Bosh resign with Heat so I think they will have cap space.

^Right, but Parsons QO counts for $5M against their cap, but once they match he counts for the $15M, will they still have $15M+ under the cap when Parsons is counting $15M?

I don't think Houston would offer Jones, but maybe a second rounder for Smith - they could use Jones as a back-up themselves as they're hurting for depth with Lin and Asik traded away for nothing but cap space this off-season.

Nonono

Detroit- We like Monroe. Barnes is actually meh.
Golden State- Believes Barnes has "star potential" and can pull more than Monroe (trying to use him in Love trade)

Another possibility for Houston could be to trade for Boozer's expiring deal before Chicago amnesties him. Better than taking on three years of Smoove deal.

The Asik deal still isnt done yet. Would like to get Smith to Houston and move Asik to 3rd team for a SF.

this might be the homer in me talking, but i think a smith + bynum deal for terrence jones and future draft considerations makes a ton of sense for both teams.

Not agreed to or paperwork just not done yet? If it's the latter, I don't see Houston backing out on an agreed to deal because such practices would really bite them in the ass league wide.

Pelicans are 63k short of making the deal. They have to free up another contract to make it work. Pistons could offer a 2nd rd pick or 2 and take Rivers off of the Pelicans. They could also step up and use the cap space to move Asik for a SF.

The addition of SVG is stronger than any addition of a FA that we could've had. Washington isn't a lock. They just lost Ariza. Atlanta was up and down last season. Charlotte has done nothing to improve and will be fighting for a spot along side us, washington, and Atlanta. Only 4 of those teams are locks.

Now trades are our only way to improve the roster in a significant manner.

Either guys left on the market are out of our price range (ie. Deng) or guys that while good, aren't going to be difference-makers - at least not as soon as next season (ie. Jordan Hamilton).

Any teams looking to unload a decent SF and his contract that we could swoop in and help them out??

Am I wrong for wanting a Jennings / Smith / Bynum for Stoudemire / Hardaway Jr / 2015 1st..

I'm content makin that trade and re-signing Moose, and signing Nelson at this point.. Maybe go after dragic in 2015, or hope we get a nice draft pick with or by using a combo of ours and nyk's like the propsed trade.

ATL - Korver
BOS - Green
CHA - Henderson
DEN - Chandler
LAC - Dudley

Could make a longer list. Some teams have more incentive than others but we don't really know their situations
