Woj said the Lakers wanted Bogey, but the Pistons asking price was too high.

Rumored deal is they are trading Westbrook/1st for Russell+ (if you believe that).

It’d be like Korkmaz and Thybulle (about the same as Noel, total) with seconds for Noel. We’d flip Thybulle to a 3rd team ( kings and hawks are among interested teams) for a second and some filler player.

I would rather waive Noel than eat Korkmaz contract for a 2nd (likely a bad one)

The Hornets pick owed to the sixers would currently be 34. The trade would have to include that. I’m just saying what the offer would be. Korkmaz is at least worth a look. And it’s $5 million, which is pocket change in the NBA.

And tell me you’re 100% confident we don’t pick up Noel’s option

I'd probably do that. Only hesitation is if Korkmoz's money would mess up free agency plans. Edit: Nevermind, we clear Noel money for free agency so, yeah, phone it in.

5 Mil dead money.

Weaver would probably draft the next Saben Lee with #34.

We need to start using our cap space on real NBA talent. Weaver will be fired very soon if we continue to be a 20 wins team, and unless he does something, we will continue to be a 20 wins team.

Cade alone won't change that. We were very bad with Cade this season.

What am I missing? Noel's got $9 million something and 2 years on his contract and Korkmaz has $5 millions something and 2 years on his contract. So we've got more room under the cap with that trade, right? If we're going to have a player we have no use for on the contract, I'll take the one who costs $4 million less. And then we get a trial with Thybulle and if there's a fit there (God knows we could use the defense) we have the inside track to sign him in free agency.

Noel have a team option. He could be an expiring if we want to, and considering he is barelly playing, even with several injuries at his position, he will not be back.

He is a veteran in a contract year, he is gone, Weaver is not going to cause problems for a player to be able to get his next contract.

Thybulle is very bad. His offense is worse than Killian Hayes. We can't afford that.

Oh, I didn't realize it was a team option. Forget it, then. I'd rather have the cap space.

On the latest edition of The Putback, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley reported that the Denver Nuggets have “registered some interest” in trading for Cam Reddish. However, the Knicks and Detroit Pistons have “more recently” had talks about a potential Reddish deal. But the decision doesn’t really rest with Cam. So what could the Pistons or Nuggets offer? Denver is reportedly interested in moving guard Bones Hyland. Bones has his stans as well — and the guy can flat-out score — but he seems like a poor fit for a team that already has Immanuel Quickley. There have also been rumors that the Knicks were looking into Detroit’s Saddiq Bey. That could be a tremendous fit, although the Knicks would probably also need to throw in some draft compensation.

Hyland sucks. Killian has way more potential, I woudn't trade him for that downgrade.

The Lakers love former Lakers that Lebron didn’t want around the first time.

Somewhere Quinn Cook is constantly looking at his phone to see if they’re trying to get ahold of him

Lakers-Jazz-Minny trade just went down. Now everyone can move on to their Plan B. Hopefully that involves us.

Knicks gave up a 1st for Cam and sent one away with him as well. Will be interesting to see if its our pick or not.

It's so hard to be a fan of this team/mess right now. Worst part is I just don't see anything happening tonight/tomorrow to change it or even just make the team a little more interesting. This thread is feeling joyful that Pistons didn't trade for Cam Reddish. That's the silver lining. This is all we get as a fan.

I'm starting to think (although could be completely off base) that Weaver believes we have a reasonable chance at signing Grant this off-season, but is keeping Bogey here in case that doesn't transpire to be our starting SF moving forward. If we do sign Grant though then Bogey gets traded this offseason for the best haul we can get.

I’m an optimist at heart. I don’t think things are that bad. At worst, we get a young stud wing in the draft, assuming we don’t hit the top 2. We also have a lot of cap room to get a couple of legit players. We get Cade back, Duren and Ivey have a year under their belt. I’m pretty sure we’re a playoff team.

That all being said, are we going to cash in too early on the rebuild? 23 year old players don’t win championships. Keeping Bogdonovich smells like a Blake Griffin kind of move to make the playoffs. Sure we get in, but at what costs? I’d much rather get an asset or two for him while his value is at it’s peak. We need to play the long game if we want to be elite again.
