You would rather have him for another 2 months and lose him for nothing?

Yes...yes I would. The cap is going up, we're getting out of Ish's deal...there was room to re-sign him. Bullock isnt getting 10+ million a year this summer.

He might and he's not worth anywhere near that, especially with his injury history. Point is that he's replaceable, if we signed him in the summer for 4yrs $32M or something like that, it would be just like when we signed Galloway and Leuer. These are the types of players you find in the second round, maybe late first or on deals half the size. When you give chunks of money to limited, inconsistent role players you end up in salary cap hell.

A bit sad to see Bullock go, but re-signing him would've probably been a long shot. He's probably not too gutted about going back to L.A. At least we got something back, rather than lose Reggie for nothing.

And that "something" could turn into a good thing if Casey decides to give Svi enough PT... His summer league highlights are encouraging. He's young, good basketball IQ, seems to shoot well from the 3 (and isn't tentative about it). Wonder why he didn't get enough burn with the Lakers?

Whatever, Stefanski did what needed to be done. Thought we could get a little more but also thought we would try to hold onto him like we’re desperate and not get anything so I’ll move on

Yeah im okay with it. Thought we could get 2 2nds but Svi looks to have a nice stroke.

We get pissed when someone leaves us and does much better (Dinwiddie, Middleton) then complain when we get a guy on a rookie deal that could potentially be a Joe Harris type of player.

Lakers fans didnt really like it either for them.

2021 2nd rounder could be very very good guys. I really wanted to get that back. So I'm completely happy with this trade UNLESS its a precursor to trading for Conley.

The more I read up on it the more I like it. Svi has a lot of potential. High iq, quick trigger, confident. Love that the second rounder is 2021.

I'm good with this trade. A young guy that looks like he can play or at least give us a shot of something along with a future second for a guy we were not keeping anyways. I'm good after watching some film.

we have a logjam at the wing with Ingram Lance Hart and KCP.

i liked Svi tbh and hope he flourishes on your team. with LBJ we simply dont have time to wait for him to develop, but he’s definitely got some game in him. he can occassionally put the ball on the floor and playmake, could be a decent role player and sharpshooter in the future.

This is what happens when you waste all your cap space trying to win right now. You end up with a roster of bad contracts and can't afford to retain real talent.

I feared we wouldn't be able to afford Bullock in the offseason. Yep. Looks like top 5 three point shooting is actually valued in this league after all

I know nothing about the guy we got in return. But I'm a bit skeptical the 2nd rounder will have any value if an AD trade happens in the next couple days. Is it actually the Lakers pick or another team's?

This is what SVG did, if guys were not really meshing, trade them for something similar and see what can happen. Bullock was a throw in for cap purposes when we got him. --- Defense is the achilles for our new guy. Gotta learn what to call him.

This guy could be a taller version of Luke with better athleticism and a quicker trigger-finger...

Could Kennard be...? :-?

How was Bullock "not really meshing"?
