I cannot fathom a single scenario where Memphis is better by trading away JJJ unless it is for Cade. They have been a bottom feeder for too long before JJJ, so I reckon they move Morant and build around JJJ and Bane. I think every single team page on RealGM has some fan posting similar "I want JJJ" trade ideas. Memphis is not stupid. They would have to get someone as good as or better to move on unless you wanna trade away Auser or Cade, it ain't going to happen.

Jaden Ivey for JJJ
What a back court
Morant
Ivey
Bane
Tobias, 1st draft pick
Edey
Home? Lol this dude was born in NJ. He spent 6 months in East Lansing. This ain't home bruh.DET_Athletics wrote:The only reason I say this is because jaren went to Michigan State, if we draw the Knicks and win that series and make it to the 2nd round and Memphis is a first round exit this year, why wouldn't he try to force his way home? Especially if we are also willing to give him the max extension he would be looking for? Plus Tobias and his current contact lineup perfectly. I would be a little hesitant to give up one of Holland or Thompson in the trade, but I'm almost to the point that I would do it.BadMofoPimp wrote:the_l_train wrote:
Why would Memphis take this package for JJJ…yeah, would amazing if they did…I would trade Tobias for almost any Grizzly rotation player, but JJJ has arguably the most value out of all of them.
He really is the perfect fit for what we need, just way too good to be true or even fathomable.
Agreed. Memphis won't look to go back to bottom feeder trading their most prized young asset. If anything, they may trade Morant to put a better team around JJJ, Bane and Aldama.

He's going to get a Max no matter what, if Memphis gets swept in the first round would definitely add to the cause...BadMofoPimp wrote:I cannot envision a scenario why Memphis would logically trade away JJJ. More just RealGM pipe dreams.

No way the Heat is letting go of its team caption. Bam loves it there. They may move Herro for high level player tho.
Herro hates Detroit, as much as I love the fit for us.
1.Sarr- Washington: too young and they aren't giving up on him.
2. Jaren Jackson- Memphis: too valuable. They would want the moon for him.
3. Jabari Smith- Houston: don't think the rockets would deal him, and they would want one of our young pieces in a trade, so no thanks.
4. Porzingus- Boston: he stays hurt, we might be able to get him for the cheap since they got him for nothing and already won a ring but it would be a serious roll of the dice that I don't see paying out for us.
5.Lauri Markannen-Utah: one of our most realistic option in terms of a trade, it's just that you have to make a trade with the devil(aka Danny Angie) and himpe we get to keep our underwear.
6. John Collins-Utah: best option is a sign and trade that involves Tobias, Tech and picks. But he is the most injured behind prozingus.
And no I didn't put wemby in that 6 because I don't do drugs and I hope you don't either.

They just got swept out the playoffs, lost their head coach in the middle of the season and he's going into the last year of his contract. I think the meltdown is starting at the perfect time for us.BadMofoPimp wrote:DET_Athletics wrote:He's going to get a Max no matter what, if Memphis gets swept in the first round would definitely add to the cause...BadMofoPimp wrote:I cannot envision a scenario why Memphis would logically trade away JJJ. Would ONLY add to the cause of moving Morant and building around JJJ.

Yeah, and it's a difference between paying him the max that Memphis would be able to pay and the max extension he'd receive on a team he's traded to. So the amount we'd extend him for ain't even too crazy. Or maybe he just settles for somewhere higher than what that difference in amount is because paying him $69 million/year to grab 6 rebounds would end Memphis.DET_Athletics wrote:They just got swept out the playoffs, lost their head coach in the middle of the season and he's going into the last year of his contract.
