So you want an 11 man rotation?

Or are you just talking about preseason? 11 man rotations aren't really a thing in the RS or playoffs, and shouldn't be.

Ya, not over reacting but I don't understand why we didn't keep him. Him Cade and Ivey would have just been fine as our 3 guard rotation. He helped Cade so much and would have helped ivey. Steady influence

It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out for Dennis and for LeVert. They got essentially the same amount of $ for the first two seasons but Dennis got a 3rd season partially guaranteeed ($4 mil). It's certainly possible that we only wanted to offer him a 2 year deal... or its possible that he didn't fit well locker room wise as he's seemingly fell out of favor time and time again in his career.

I liked what Schroeder brought to the table, but I completely understand not giving a raise to a journeyman who you were just PAID to take on his contract because that's how little value he had (on a cheaper, expiring contract). At the end of the day, it was a very small sample size with the Pistons. Fontecchio looked great in his first season as a Piston, and we saw how that worked out. Avoiding that contract AND getting a trade exception on top of it, I'm very fine with moving on from Dennis.

That being said, he does need to be replaced and Levert is a terrible fit to do so. That was head scratching at the time of signing and even after just one preseason game I'm extremely worried. Fully guaranteed next year too so not sure how easy he'd be to dump if he do try to get a backup PG at some point this season.

There were quite a few extremely cheap PGs I'm disappointed we didn't make a move for the in the offseason. Tyus Jones, DeAngelo Russell, Brogdon, Cole Anthony, and I'm sure more. They all have their flaws, but they're a better fit in the PG position and all signed for like $2M - $7M vs Levert's $14M for two seasons.

Unlike many Magic fans, I really liked Cole. He was the best locker room guy and biggest cheering player on the bench. He loved that team. Sometimes, when he went off and had great moments, it was epic. He just played poor defense and liked to chuck sometimes.

Money, he wanted more (likely the term) than the Pistons were willing to offer. A 3 year deal for him is a big commitment for a guy that wears out his welcome at most places. With that said, that is a void they need filled. I still don't understand the LeVert signing but am open minded to it if he proves me wrong.

I also think Schroder sees himself as a starter in the NBA. That's the main reason he chose Kings to me.

Yeah, I think Schroder would've been happy here if it was an open competition for the starting job alongside Cade, but I thnk Trajan wanted to use this year to fully see what we have in Ivey and starting wasn't going to happen for Shroder here.

I really liked Schroder's fit and miss him too.
