I love the decision he made. Duncan Robinson routinely gets cooked.

Ausar is that guy! He cleaned up so many of our misses and mistakes late in the game

We’ve played three nearly identical games. Seems like an obvious coaching challenge coming up.

1st Q: we suck. Bad. Particularly defensively.
2nd Q: getting it together. Decent.
3rd Q: play well, come back or establish a lead.
4th Q: decent, but struggle to finish.

We’ll take 2-1. That’s what I expected (but over Chicago, not Houston). But we’re not playing well. We’re a good team now, we need to show it. Maybe tomorrow?

And yeah. Ausar has been super active. Saved our butts, along with Duren, by just assaulting the outmatched Boston down low.

Man I don't think I've seen a team blow 15+ point leads and come back down 15+ points as much as this team the past two seasons. Whether down 20 or up 20, there's usually still a game.

7 offensive boards for Duren, and 5 for Ausar. That's the kind of hustle you need when you lack shooters. 32/36 from the free throw line. Four pistons with 18+ this game. Ugly game at times, but a really good team effort and solid win.

It's been great.. The 2004 Champs did all the time.. And the thing was, even down 15, I always thought, "OK, when do we make our comeback and win?"

Couple of ugly ass wins. Like the grit, hate the pansy-ass way we are starting games.

Honestly that's the way a lot of last season went as well. This team is built to play a certain way and it bears out in a lot of games. Takes them a while to get into the game, very physical, very athletic, can clamp down on defense at times but also very inconsistent offensively which struggles mightily in 4th quarters when the games tighten up and it becomes more of a half court game. There's no doubt that Langdon has to make a move for a secondary scorer at some point if the Pistons have designs on making a real playoff run. I don't have much confidence that Ivey will be that guy with the injuries piling up and I had questions about him before that even.

Good win today! Ausar with nasty work on the glass and running point. Duren looked like he's out there playing for a contract. I still wouldn't offer Duren max money, still think sometning around 15-18mil annually is a good deal.

Gotta love the grit, but it's going to be really tough to keep this up if we can't make a reasonable number of 3s. 9 makes tonight. That would be dead last in the league last year.

Part of what I'm hoping for from Ivey is his evolution as a volume shooter. He shot almost 41% last season on 5 3pa. If he can get up around 8-9 attempts per game and just stay 38ish+ % from deep I'd be thrilled and I think it's completely doable.

I'm still expecting a bigger trade down the line regardless. We can't juggle all these extensions going fwd and need to consolidate some talent on top of the obvious imbalance issues. But Ivey being healthy needs to be part of that.

If Ivey gets back and starts, seems likely that we'd have 5 starters all averaging 12+ PPG. I do love me some balanced scoring. I love what Cade does for us at times carrying the load but I think we're even better when he only needs to take 16-18 shots a night and we have more balanced scoring like we saw tonight. I'll take that over Cade getting 32 points on 25+ attempts anytime.

Random thought, but does Ausar lead the team in +/- this year? Tobias has quietly been our most consistent player at both ends, but Ausar can fill up a stat sheet with winning plays.

I think we do better as the game moves on because the other teams csnt match the energy as long, we wear them down and regain control for a lot of wins.

I get that, but it’s still no excuse to come out every game looking like a bunch of uninterested bums for the first six minutes.

I'm not positive that Pistons getting wins with grit for Games 2 and 3 highlights a long term plan for success. I will say I enjoyed cheering for them though.

I'll 100% buy into the idea that we should try and wear teams down, but I'm not buying into the idea that the difference in our play the 1st Q vs the other 3 Q's has been us wearing teams down.

We've come out sluggish & stagnant while opposing teams have aggressively attacked us early. We've responded well, but something is broken.

I missed the game but did see highlights.

Ausar will be a modern-day Scottie Pippen when his jumper consistently falls.

Although Ron didn't score a lot, he is a modern-day Paul Pierce.

Our future is bright.

The Hell with threes! As long as we're scoring in the paint, f?ck threes. I don't care if we’re dead last. OkC proved you don't have to shoot threes all the time to win
